Problems with a cooler master 430

Hy, i've been having this problem for quite a while with a new cooler master 430 elite that when i put everything in it causes the monitor to flicker horizontal lines. I've done all the possible verifications with all the cables and screws and plugs and everything a decent being can possibly think of and some things nobody would think of and still i face the same problems.

Eventually i took my new case to the store for technical assistance and they took it in and did whatever is it that they did. Then they called my to get it back and when i got there they told me to pay a 10 euros fee because my case didn't have anything though i don't see why they'd assume i'd bring it to them unless it had something. I didn't have 10 bucks at me at the time and i didn't pay anything.

Then they told me that i can bring my pc to them so they can have a look at it for 10 euros/1 hour +some other fee/half hour. Now i have no case and i gotta pay these guys 10 euros for not doing anything just to get it back plus taking my computer to them (for 10 euros) to look at it to see if it's broken which i assume it's not considering i'm using it right now.

Why do i have the feeling i'm being ripped off? I don't believe they're allowed to charge me for nothing then hold my case hostage then charge me for some more nothing.

Any thoughts on this?

man they should of disclosed the fee before ya left it. But back to main issue does this same issue happen with the rig outside of the case??? have ya tried doing it outside the case?? if its only in the case and thats the only symptom ya have does the card seat properly in its pci-e slot i.e. not crooked, tab lock on fully and all??

Of course they can charge you for looking at even if they found nothing wrong. As far as holding it hostage, I would do the same thing if I were the business owner.

You probably have a grounding issue somewhere. Without your parts inside, they really can't do much troubleshooting. I'd put everything back in, make sure everything is secure. If you get the same issue, then bring the PC in and have them troubleshoot the problem.

Did you have all the front panel connectors connected? Like USB, LEDs, switches etc. I'd disconnect all those when the PC is in the case and see if you still get the same issue. You can start your PC with the tip of a screwdriver on the pw_switch pins. I've seen issues before with built in USB ports on some cases.

In your thread at CM you said you tried another case and didn't get this problem? Personally, I'd return the case and get something else unless someone here can come up with a solution for you.

@s-i-n: Yep, everything was in place, the lines on the monitor happened only in the new case in the old case everything's fine.

@hmblah: Yeah but the case is in warranty and it's bought from their store and i didn't bring it to them just because i had too much time to waste that's just outrageous. Anyway, i don't know what a grounding issue is but it's probably the case because i did everything that could be done including taking out the usb and the led cables except the power cables cuz i don't feel comfortable shoving a screwdriver in my motherboard

I talked to the guys at the store and they said they wouldn't give me my money back and they'd only change my case if they see something wrong with it which they didn't (at least that's what they say).

@ruthless_villain: Yeah but i'd rather have something done for that money not just get ripped off of.

hmmm well check and make sure only the stand offs ya need are in extras or missing ones can cause issues also if front header parts are the issue the only way to check those is to remove them. I understand not wanting to short the pins to start t up but ya can use a button from another case or make ur own I keep a button from an old case laying around for testing out of the case before installing it in the case lol

Well now all i have to do is recover my case from the store i bought it from which decided so kindly not to give it to me unless i pay them for for not doing anything
