Problems in Boot Up with a Mach II GT...

I'll try to explain but sorry for my English !

I'v bought a Mach II ST which I've sent to mod to r404a and I've bought here at Extreme Prometeia a Mach II GT Control Board, so now my Mach II ST is a Mach II GT...

Yesterday I finally had time to mount everything and to test...

I'm using a DFI NF4 SLI-DR with a San Diego 3700+ and a Powerstream 520w...

I inicially connect the yellow/yellow wire of the Mach II to the mobo and the Blue/White wire to the front power button but when I turned on the computer, only the Mach II started but not the computer, even if I wait a little...

So I unplugged the yellow/yellow and blue/white wire but let the other cables on and when I turned on the computer the Mach II also turned on...

Then I updated the firmware to the latest one, 846 I think, and everything went OK...

Then I tried again to connect the yellow/yellow and blue/white cables in order to make everything working as it is supposed to do...

But the same problem occured...

Now, the Mach II is not connected to the mobo, and when I plugged the rear power cable in it, it immediatly starts !

But I don't know why...

Can anybody tell me how to connect that to make it working good ?

When we connect the rear power cable to the Mach II it is supposed only to turn on the red led but mine turns on the red and the two orange ones and begins immediatly working !

Must I let it stay disconnected for a time in order for it to "reboot" or something like that ?

Please help me...

Thanks,

Sounds like one of two things:

1) update firmware again, somethime they have a habit of becoming corrupt - especially when tryin some of the things you have done.

2) Flash the BIOS on the motherboard

I had an OCZ PSU and found that my 520w version was not strong enough - it could be you need a better PSU (P&PC510, OCZ 600w or Enermax 660w for example).

A few thoughts - hope it helps

Cheers

Could also be a bad connection, but does sound more firmware related/ control board related. Mine sometimes behaves funny like that - I just re start it and it works.

I've uninstalled the Mach II Software and removed the USB driver but now it doesn't is detected anymore in Windows !

The USB cable is correctly plugged on but it doesn't appear anymore so I'm not able to reflash the firmware...

It's my first experience with a Prometeia but really don't understand these strange things and thinks the Control Board is not a really good unit...

OK I managed to get it recognized again by USB uninstalling the USB Driver in Safe Mode and reinstalling it...

Then I reflash it with firmware 821 and the software beggins working but tells me that the front fan is not working but I can see that it's working !!!

And the startup problem remains the same...

Then I reflashed it with firmware 846 and:

- When the yellow/yellow and blue/white cables are not connected to the PC, the unit starts up at the same time of the PC but I when I shut down the PC it beggins to start/stop until I remove de power cable at the back side (that was exactly the same problem I had with the older Control Board and because of which I have ordered this new Control Board...)

- When the yellow/yellow and blue/white cables are connected to the PC, at the moment when I plug in the power cable at the bottom of the unit it immediatly starts even if the PC is nor working !!!

Don't really understand that...
