Problem MSI Afterburner?

Hi,

With MSI AFTERBURNER running in CoD Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 the game stutters after a short while. If I don't use MSI AFTERBURNER it doesn't happen. In Crysis no problem. It happens with stock clocks and overclock. I'm gona look for NVIDIA overclocking utility and try NVIDIA Inspector and test EVGA Precision though that doesn't have voltage option

Edit: Tried NVIDIA nTune. First played with fan settings and 70% speed is different to NVIDIA Inspector 70%, the I clicked on system information option and the PC BSOD immediatley :/ I've removed nTune

Edit: Problem happens with Precision

Err.. CPU? You do know when it automatically adjusts the fan with a custom fan setup it uses the CPU? I've never had problems with it but it could be that. Try setting the fans on a set value around 70% and give it a go. It could also be a bad clock!

Good luck!

Hi, done that. The fans are at 70%

Using NVIDIA Inspector it's OK. The stuttering doesn't stop and I minimise the game and switch of the monitoring software and the game runs OK. I did speed up the monitoring polling rate recently and I'll put that slower again. I think it said polling doesn't hog resources and CoD isn't a resource hog. I am looking for a G13 app

I sent an email to EVGA for ideas

Thanks

Must have been the polling rate because i slow'd it now and the game is running well.

With the NVIDIA Control Pannel Anti-Aliasing options there's Anti-Aliasing Transparancy and I had that set to 4xSupersampling. With NVIDIA Inspector there's a new type called Sparse Grid Supersampling and I set it to 8x wich is the max withou enabling SLI Anti-Aliasing, played MW2 and it's good, very good and a resource hog cause I have fans set to 70% and GPU 2 reached 95 Degrees C and my higher fan setting worked and kept the temps down. In Black Ops I had 4xSupersampling, higher AA @ x 16, 70% fan speed and temp were about 59-70 Degrees C.

I've found Crysis looks lovely with 4xAA + Transparancy and AA gamma correction and better than using just Crysis's 16Q AA and less resource hog i think as 16Q AA in Crysis is a hog.

Thanks
