Probably a new case: Obsidian 750D Airflow or regular?

I'll be likely after a new case simply because I need more space between my AIO + fans (push config) and CPU 8-pin header on the motherboard, and I'm quite taken by the 750D and its options. Also because it exactly offers the space I require (it's got the H105 in this pic with even thicker fans than I have):

My only debate is whether to pick the regular or the Airflow edition.

I live in a quite dusty house, making the regular model the better choice, however I am unsure if provides (much) less airflow than the Airflow edition - which in turn will get more dust in it.

Having said that, currently the front intake filter of my current case does an excellent job of keeping stuff out.

So maybe you guys and girls have experience with either case?

Go with the airflow edition. If your wary of dust then just keep it higher off the ground and clean the filters out more often. There is no reason to go with the regular model unless your into mods etc with the front.

If anything, the regular model may end up allowing more dust into the rig if you use powerful fans.

That's helpful advice, and quick too! The case is always on the desk :)

I'll be using the fans that come with it for starters, unless I find them too loud in which case they'll be replaced by quiet editions. Or I'll just have them spin slower ;)

In that case just go with the Airflow edition. Unless of course it is of significant premium over the regular version?

Well then I guess there is no langer a need to hesitate :D

Unless of course you plan to mod the front panel for any given reason.

Fastest thread ever lol cheers mate!

No, I'm no modder - more of a wrecker if I tried :/

One thing though which isn't mentioned on the Corsair website, but all pics seem to have it; do the fans have blue LED's? And if so, can I opt for turning the LEDs off?

Have you considered any of the smaller cases that have no drive bays? The AIO can then be fitted in the front of the case giving plenty of room for push/pull configurations.
Obviously if you use optical drives or anything that fits in a drive bay you wouldn't want one. If not, check cases such as the NZXT S340 or the Fractal Design Define S.

Just an FYI fans in the picture are normal 25mm thick ones.

If you are running slim fans I honestly suggest replacing them if your are not mega short of space.

Also:

Appreciate it man! Ordered the airflow case this morning.

@ TTL: I've got the 25 mm fans already, quiet editions. With what would you replace them? Yes saw your review, it's what sold me on the case ha ha!

Yeah the Corsair fans with the rings. I wonder though Tom, do the stock fans have LEDs an of so can the be disabled? Seems they have them in your video?

I have a vertical wood board at the back of my desk and this case I longer so I'll saw out a bit to lay the PSU power cord through lol otherwise it'll bend too tightly upwards.

Corsair's fans are not a patch on Noctua, Eloop bionic or Cougar Vortex. Whilst they are probably more than sufficient they are nowhere even near the best.

Guess it all depends on your wallet really dude.

When i was using Noctua fans i couldn't tell the difference between them and Corsair, Fractal Fans & EK Fans

It wasn't the sound of Corsair fans that bothered me too much. It was the fact that after six months they started blowing off. (or at least sounded like they were blowing off).

The difference between Corsair fans and Noctua fans is the build quality (plus Eloop plus Cougar).

I never found that when i was using Corsair fans maybe you were just unlucky

I probably was but they were made like crap dude. They were light and flimsy and just felt incredibly cheap. And that wasn't the first Corsair product I had that was like that.

The ones i had felt solid, nearly all of the Corsair products i have own have all felt solid apart from the 750D which is funny cause that is the case that the OP is looking that.

TBH i wasn't impress with the 750D to me it feels flimsy compare to the 650D
