It was £240 odd from Overclockers.co.uk :D I use them for everything. Currently they're at £240 for an OEM one :-) Remember that the prices on that list are before VAT!

So, after a couple of weeks - she should be back up and running soon. Replacement PSU is (finally) due back in stock with Corsair on Friday, then with me at some point after that.
Now is just waiting and trepidation, hoping that nothing else was damaged in the blowout. If so - Corsair may end up with an extremely aggressive me banging on their doors!

Sorry for the lack of updates people - hopefully we'll have some progress early next week! Then the upgrades can commence :D

LIVES!

Thanks very much Grey_beard. It's good to be back :-)
Everything appears to have survived and the system is running smoothly, although the Link Commander is playing up. Should be an easy fix.
I'll have a full update this evening with the state of the project as I've been doing bits and bobs during down time - and an idea of what's next for it.

Specialtech sell them mate, be careful though when you put your cables in, they're so tight they crack super easily. I found after getting through 8 of the 6 pin ones, that it's best to have a 2nd person hold the cable either side of the clip, and stretch it slightly, then pop in the clip.

awesome thanks mate :)

Hi

On the Cable combs. I have sleeved my 24pin ATX cable I tried to use the combs to keep it strait and nicely organized. Ended up breaking the 2 I have, just moving the combs around. I think they work ok for 4/6/8 pin sleeved wires, however 24 pin was just too much.

I got through mine on the 6 pins. If you can find them in the UK the Lutro stealth combslook great, the idea is you keep them next to your, connections for the most part, and when your cables look a bit out of shape, you use them like a comb and slide them back and forth, to straighten them again.

I got my 24pin combs from E22 directly and they just snapped while adjusting them, I'm going down the lacing route now.

That's my next purchase some nice waxed thread, it looks so much nicer too.

Real cheap on eBay. Got mine for something like £3 for 20m, more than I could ever use!

Right! Current state of the project:
Storage/backup drive is in. Speakers are in (and incredible). Next step is the sound card - then it's time to invest in a second 780ti...

Now that she's up and running again, it's time to start tinkering. First choice was obviously to OC the GPU. The 780ti really is a corking overclocker - sat at 1300MHz on reference cooler, and it rarely budges above 75°C under stress testing, and never over 80°C whilst gaming. Gorgeous. Not all that loud, either.
I'll start playing with the CPU when I have the time to go at it. RAM is absolutely fine running at rated. (2400MHz)

Some more photos for you:
