Hi Guys,

Im trying to find some Clear Primochill tubing with an ID of 7/16.

Ive tried specialtech, aria, scan, ocuk and cant find it. Anyone know of a reputable retailer I can acquire some from?

Cheers

been alot of reports of primochill tubing leaching way to soon might want to check it out

Check out HERE there has been LOADS of problems with primoshill. Seems like last few weeks/months they have changed the way they make it and it leaching like hell. This is not unusual for primoshill bring some thing out good and then wreck it once it has made a name.

Im running some tests now some None leaching plastic tubing made by "john guest". its the same stuff we use in out water making system. Now it doesn't have a bend radius like normal tubing and its not clear how ever it is not leaching either.

Im running extended testing and the best thing of all is it uses push pull fittings. This means the fitting screw into say the rad and then all i do is push the pipe in place and that's it. its all done no messing on. Simple stuff. You can tube up a system in seconds and when you what to strip it you push the collar and rip it apart just as fast as you fitted it.

Oh and just to add its £1.19 a meter of tubing and the fitting are £1.10 each ... Hang you head in shame big boys of the water cooling world ....

Lol I got this tubing because I thought it didnt leech like my previous tygon did :/

Mayhems seen as your like the WC guru please get some tubing out so we all can be leech free :/

Interesting reading, glad I didn't go with it now. You would have thought Primochill would have stuck with a winning formula...

That LLDPE tubing sounds nice in some respects, I like the idea of push fittings!

Shame it doesnt come in clear, how am I going to show off your beautiful coolants

so far clearflex is the least prone to early leaching the only thing is I cant fnd it in 7/16 id

so I'm going with another brand that appears to be made by them called mod my toys. Just trying to get everything from one source lol

The problem now a days is finding everything from one place is a nightmare. This normally has nothing to do with the re-seller but the place they are trying to get the stock from.

I think the water cooling world moves very fast as when a new piece of equipment comes out and then needs a new water block and then new fittings the list goes on. Water cooling is a bit like a sport event the only problem is there is only one winner and it certainly is not the end user.

As for us looking into tubing ive done it and even spoken to makers of tubing.

A few facts though.

1) To get good bend radius means more plasticizer

2) To get Good see though tube needs more plasticizer

3) Plasticizer is our worst enemy

Why is plasticizer now our worst enemy and why was it never our worst enemy before. Well its our own fault and its because in our effort to get blocks that are more thermal efficient we have created the problem of fine channels and this is where plasticizer gets stuck and builds up.

So what we need to look at this a different way and think far from the box. Do we carry on banging our heads on the all and going for flexible tubing or do we start going with less bend radius tubing and more for harder tubing that contains less plasticizer "our worst enemy". But again if we go for harder tubing with less bend radius we then encounter another problem. 90 Degree turns / elbows and these again cause another problem and that is flow restriction. See were im going here...

Take for instance the John Guest fittings and tubing.

Advantages

1) None leaching

2) Cheap

3) Push / pull fittings

4) Easy to get hold off

5) Uses standard sizes and less confusion

6) Takes up less room

Disadvantages

1) Bad bend radius

2) Need more elbows and sharp turns

3) Is not see though

4) Is not UV active

5) All the fitting are leach free plastic and do not have the bling factor synonymous with water cooling.

The positives out way the negatives how ever the bling is lost.

My idea's will turn water cooling on its head ....

that good sir should be put in a sticky for all to read lol. I was able to get all my parts from one source (well if my damn taxes get here in time lol) Performance pcs my cart atm totals $586 before shipping which includes a 420mm and 280mm rad raystorm cpu block (replacing the rasa) 15ft of tubing gpu block tim several 45's 90's and straight barbs (so they are all same brand and color) and 10 140mm fans plus screws to make sure I have enough on hand when I'm ready. : ( ouch and I still have to pay you for the shipping on my Blue Berry BTW pm me the amount and ur paypal info so I can get that to ya when my refund hits. Should be the 7th according to the IRS lol. I may break up my order though and get some more of the XSPC tubing Frozen CPU carries it. I can say after 6 month on it. All I see is staining on it. I bought some 1/2 id tubing from the hardware store to do a quick run while I waited fro my parts. And Well I may use it for flushing a system once and then bin it. Clouded up straight away less than 2 weeks on it. while the XSPC tubing did stain its still clear in opacity and handled several on/off installs with out issues. I attribute the staining to my over use of dyes to make the color I wanted. Well to undo the mistake I first made lmao.

lol the xspc tubing is oky but looks like all tubing is turning to shit lately, that's the rescission for you.

Wait till all the blocks start rising in price again as copper gain has risen in price.

boo water cooling is becoming a headache! For a little while I thought I had my shopping list, guess its back to the drawing board. Looks like the only way im going to get leach free clear tube is if I learn to work glass

Perhaps Inflexible coloured tube is the way forward.
