Hello and Good Morning guys,

Right as we speak I have a CPU which is getting primed lol, Okay its been running for about 5 1/2 hours let's say if I stopped it could I carry it on later. Basically does it have to continuously or like I said before can I just start another test and add it on.

Thanks :)

No mate, need to test in one run. You can't just pause and come back later :p

What cooler are you using? I wouldn't want my temps to be that high

Yeah, it's best if you let prime95 run continuously (with no breaks in between). A 24 hour test is usually best, but you could get away with 10 - 15 hours.

Okay thanks guys I will do 15hours or something its just a long wait but that's the fun of over clocking I hope this will succeed please don't fail lol.

Just a update got it up to 4.5GHz at 1.2250v :) It just wouldn't do 4.6 I did like 8hours of prime95 on it Just wouldn't do it, I could have put more volts on it But I was at like 1.2850 so I think I did good.

You'll get to the stage where the extra 100MHz isn't worth the increasingly large amount of vcore you'll need to support it. Also the higher the clock, the more you need to turn things off auto because the motherboard will just end up throwing lots of volts at it in lots of random ways (well it's not random but you need to understand what the dozen other voltages do).

I'd still expect you to get 4.6 though. Post screen shots of your BIOS (the more settings you can show the better) and we can have a look at it. Your temps are already getting nearly as high as I'd suggest you take them so it might require a lot of tweaking to get 4.6 safely.

Nahh I'm okay with 4.5GHz. I don't have time to keep waiting 24hours ect for it to be stable, I did 4.5GHz properly so dont worry. But I can put screenshots if you like But my clock at the moment is stable.
