While Western Resources indulged in pre-Christmas mood and summed up Friday's sales, the Chinese colleagues in the pages of the forum CoreSCN placed now inaccessible information about the characteristics of 22 nm desktop processors generation Ivy Bridge. Recall that the announcement of the first models of the family, which will have four physical cores, is scheduled for April 2012. These processors can work in motherboards with LGA 1155, based on chipset Intel "sixth" and "seventh" series.

Well, the decision is the same as with SB. Either go i7 with HT and larger cache or go i5 with smaller cash

I'll most likely go with the i7 too, but only as i don't plan on upgrading anytime soon after that.

TDP's look good and they have HD 4000 graphics - perfect for a low power HTPC. Now if only someone would build a nice overclockable mitx board... (that isn't Zotac)

Yeah, forgot about the HD 4000. Once i have one i will use it without a dedicated graphics card for a while and test how it deals with not-so-new games like TF2, CS:S, DoD:S. Would make good office PCs aswell.
