Definitive Ivy Bridge release date leaked

I do not know if this has been posted yet, but the definitive release date of Ivy Bridge has been leaked a couple of days ago(as I'm sure some of you have picked up from other tech sites).

The new release date for most IB cpu's is April 29th!

Basically, DonanimHaber got their hands on an Intel presentation slide stating the release dates, and EEtimes spoke to their contacts within Intel who told them the exact same dates before the slides were even leaked. Whether or not these slides are truly legit I do not know, nor can I comment on the reliability of EEtimes.

It's a shame, now I have to wait an additional three weeks before I can buy my new rig!

It's been known that the release for Ivy is the 29th of April for weeks, the delays are for the mobile chips only. This just seems to be more recent news on it.

IIRC nothing was actually confirmed till now if you can beleive these slides / sources..

Also, if I understand google translate correctly, April 29th is also the release date for the new motherboard chipsets, including Z77. Didn't everyone assume the Z77 motherboards would still be released April 8, even though IB cpu's were presumably delayed?

Also only Ivy mobile CPUs were delayed, i've heard people saying this over and over and people still keep saying it's not just the mobile chips even though everywhere has cleary said it is only the mobile chips.

Right so the new news just confirms earlier rumours. I beleive it to be true though, the slide seems pretty legit.

Oh well, at least now we know for sure that IB has been delayed till the 29th ;')
