Anyone in the U.K making/selling custom cable sets for a Seasonic PSU?

I've found a couple companies making them outside of the UK, what's the general view... who makes the best?

Shakmods.

I sent a full set of cables to them last year. They quoted me £70. Then it was £75 then £80 then £80 plus shipping.

I shan't be using them again.

Oh... that isn't great but I wouldn't be sending them anything just ordering pre-braided cables. What was the final quality like?

Yeah quality is very good mate. Never had any Pexon cables (he ignored my PMs) so can't really compare but he uses the plastic stuff and it's good.

I would definitely order extensions from him again, just not send him my cables so he can hold me to ransom.

What's the plastic stuff like, can you still get some good bends in or are they like generic PSU ones that don't like bending at all?

They bend OK but will follow a bit of a curve as they are plastic. Paracord obviously bends a lot better because it's soft and floppy when the core comes out.

Cablemods are lovely and in paracord *but* they are very, very thin and thus incompatible with a lot of cable combs.

Just lately if I CBA I have been using ToTheWire on Ebay. he works with paracord and makes beautiful cables.

This has been my concern, I'm using a top end PSU and need cables that will be 100% compatible, safe and stable... I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on my new setup and braided cables will just finish it off perfectly BUT I'm now a bit skint lol so just can't afford to go spending £200 on handmade cables rolled on the thighs of virgins

CableMod do seem well priced, fairly quick delivery, nice choice of length etc but the thickness of the cable is a concern.... BUT all the reviews I've read this are old so I'm wondering if things have changed recently and now they are made to a higher quality.

Decisions decisions!

It's not the quality. They are lovely looking cables (I bought a few raw blue ones to make a cable I needed) it's the AWG of the wire. It's tiny.

So yeah, if you run anything high current I would avoid it.
