Since i'm new to this just wondering what kind of ppd i should be expecting from i7 oc to 3.8ghz and from my 2 gtx 460s? at the moment im getting just short of 10k for the gtx 460s and unsure about the i7 as it hasnt appeared on hfm.net as it takes up to 40mins just to do 1% if thats normal? also when i run the gpu clients i get a high pitched sound coming from the gtx's but only when I run it, and it doesn't seem to be related to the fan as i have tried lowering/increasing fan speed, so unsure why it is happening

I thought the 460's got more like 8-10k each a day (or is that what you are saying?). You should expect around 15k a day on that i7 unless of course you get a 6701 wu where you'll get around 10k instead. You should get anywhere from 25-35k a day on that rig.

Some cards do have a high pitched squeal under load. Nothing you can really do about it other than to turn up your fans so you can drown out the noise.

i'm not sure tbh, i don't fully understand what to do lol but yeah im guessing i mean per day i am just following what the ppd says on hfm.net wanted to make sure i'm doing everything right, though with my i7 it has now appeared that it says i'm getting 27.5k ppd but will take 2 days 12 hours to complete but with an overall of 47,471ppd with the smp and 2 gpu clients

yeah i have just turned up my fans to help drown out the squeel just annoying as i was planning on running it over night and i sleep in the same room, will have to see if it annoys me.

Keep in mind when you just start Folding it takes a bit of time to show the fully PPD in the Extreme stats ..

on the 460's overclocked to my settings (whitch you said you had) you should get 11232 per card so 22464 PPD total,then whatever your i7 gets

and in hfm you should have 2 460s showing,did you add the flags in the desktop shortcuts for both gpu's,-gpu0 and -gpu1

yeah i set the flags up and in hfm shows that the ppd is 9776 for both of them, thats without them oc and then my i7 has gone from 27.5k to like 2k :S

yeah i get 11232 now on the gpu's and the cpu just keeps fluctuating, but i seem to be rising in the team table. Got a second rig i could probs run it on too, if i set it up.
