power supply advice

Hello and greets to all,
i am new to these forums and was please hoping someone could help with some advice.
I am currently in the process of building a new system and wanting some advice on the wattage i will need for the power supply in my new build.

here is my list of components ;
Asrock x79 fatal1ty champion motherboard
3way sli - gigabyte 670 oc 2gb with 6 and eight pin power connectors on each card
corsair h100 i cpu cooler
intel core i7 4930k
64gb Gskill tridentX 1600mhz 7-8-8-24-2N
asus dvd drive
pioneer blu ray drive
2 x mushkin 120gb ssd
6 2tb western digital green sata 3 HDD
6 case fans
any help would be greatly appreciated

850w will probably see you through but with most PSU's they will end up being quite loud. We generally say around 750 to 850 for a dual card system. I wouldnt be happy running 3 cards even though your 670's wont pull much without a quality 1000w on there.

That will give you a nice bit of headroom because your cards alone will be pulling 450 - 600w on there own maxed out

so 1000w will give me head room ?, so many people have told me i need at least 1300w to run this system or it wont even power up and i was skeptical after watching your video on psu wattage i was pleasantly surprised and that is why i joined your forums to ask for advice & for that i thank you ,i can save some money and search for a quality modular power supply , you will be pleased to know you have a fan in Australia

yeah i agree with tom (The Guv) about 1000W should be fine just make sure to get a reputable brand, and maybe go for a higher efficiency one which will just use its power a little better

Really depends on your budget dude but you cant skimp out.

And with 1300w you could power 4 780 Ti's with headroom lol
