ok be very gental the control board will come off its mounts if you pull at it just lift it forward then slide it to the side to pull the fuse out but BE GENTAL
It is ceramic I believe it is so it can withstand high starting current of the compressor for short periods of time without breaking to test it you need a resistance tester and see if it has a circuit through it if you dont know how to do it take it to the shop where you intend to buy another fuse and they will test it for you
Just changed the fuse, with the same effect. What happens when I push the powerbutton of the PC is the following:
I hear two or three sounds from the compressor and after that only the fans are running. I do hear some sounds coming from the compressor (just like the sound you get when you move the pc)
Can this be corrupt firmware? Or is something else going on?
Please help as I am slowly getting desperate here!
The display on the Mach II says after a few minutes "TO SLOW" which is described in the manual. But I checked the powercable and all is still hooked up as it did in the situation the system worked in.
The leds are as follows when the system is started:
I would of at least tried to re-flash the firmware before I did anything else (as stated in my previous post) then I would replace the fuse.
Now what you describe here sounds like a broken control board or a leaking MACH system.
So try the cheaper option of flashing the firmware - if that dont work you need to get the unit repaired, this could be a £100 regas or a £100 control board (or both ) - let the experts sort it out for ya.
Is there anyway to check if the system is leaking or if the controlboard is broken?
Haven't done the firmwareupdate yet because the unit can't be detected by the second PC. I am not sure however if I was able to see it in my old pc, because i never installed the control center software
What is the correct order for the coloringscheme of the USB cable on the PC side?
The Mach II side should be (according to the forum)
1. Red (power)
2. White (data-)
3. Green (data+)
4. black (ground)
Should data - be connected to data + on the mainboard? and power to ground?
Stll remains one of my previous questions:
Does the compressor start if the firmware is corrupt?
Who knows what can happen if the firmware is corrupt?? By definition it will do things it doesn't normally.
Okay the black connection goes to the ground on the USB connector where there are only 4 pins (one blank) - connect it that way and all should be visible, then you can load up software and boot the firmware up.
I am trying to update the firmware but the device is not seen on another pc which I connected to it. It doesn't matter if I switch the USB cable around, it just will not see the controlboard.
I use a cable with coloringscheme different then the one in the manual, but as I can see it that does not matter as long as the right connection is made!
Trained fridge guys or prom guys please varify as a regas will entail a reclaim of the old refrigerant if that is not done it is not legal also a new service port to be installed and to have the system vacced for at least 3 hrs minimal then new refrigerant charged and the system to be load tested that is to have it done properly?????8)
Back O/T leave the usb disconected if the mach2 does not start and run straight away when you plug it in then you have other problems if the firmeware is corrupt normaly the unit will run as soon as power is connected to it ..... if your compressor does not run and stops and starts constantly make sure all your sensors are connected properly also you display cable as this will effect it as well if it still doesnt work then you will need to send it to some one who can service it either direct to ect or to phil
