Power Connections

Hi All

This is likely a stupid question, but are you meant to have all 4 power connections on the DFI SLI-DR motherboard connected? (5/12v)

At the moment I have connected the main ones ie ATX 24 pin and 4 Pin and it seems to work fine.

Hi i am using an enermax 600w and dr Expert boad i was just using the 24 and 4 pin with no problems but phoned enermax and they sent me a 4 to 8 pin converter, totaly stable as the video card has its own power conector, but i see you are using an x850 so i would recomend conecting the power supply for the video card to give it more stability.

With the SLI-DR you should really use all the power connections on the board. What it does is provide local power to certain areas of the board, so that it doesn't have to draw it across the board from one location. I'd recommend using them, especially if you're overclocking

It does seem to the general opinion that it does help with stability.

(Hopefully it might help with my RAM o/c)
