How do you get rid of the recycle bin on the desktop? How would i get it back if i wanted it? I am asking because i have the object dock and just want the object dock and nothing else on my desktop.

Right click on Desktop > Desktop Tab > Customise Desktop. Here you have tick boxes for recycle bin, My computer etc.

I'm using a classic Start Menu if that makes any difference.

No problem! I've recently formatted and im still using the normal winxp silver skin so it's getting a bit boring before. Just wondering what program and skin are you using?

I think I tried crystal xp before but hated it as some skins were missing icons or wouldnt look right and little things like that bug me.

I am using Vista Inspirat from crystalxp.net. If some of the icons were missing download it again and when you install it go into safe mode and install.

Changed a few icons...

Used candybar and changed some of my desktop/folder icons. I like the new icons Disregard the wallpaper as it's not permanent, I have it set to rotate every 60 seconds to a different shot of which I have about 20 that it randomly scrolls through.

That's the real deal, it's an ASC Edition Viper which is 1337.

have 2 answer to that.

1. i dont i rarely use the desktop to anything else then a nice picture and everest onscreen display.

2. i use the explorer.

im in the process of cleaning out my harddrives and it goes through 3 steps.

step 1 is to delete the crap and move the rest where it belongs however in folders with many small files such as images i move them to the desktop.

step 2, i sort through the desktop and organize the files into folders and delete some of the files.

step 3, i move all the folders i have made on the desktop to the right places.
