Post HD Tach screenies here!

Wow mate thats some speed you got there, but looking at it is see you have 3 x 150 raptors, anyway some nice burst speed you got going there mate.

Dizzy- I think you have some crosstalk goin on there. How are your cables arranged, and what kinda cables are they? :)

Yeah could be. what ive got is a 3 150 gig raptors set up as raid 0 with 128k stip.the cables r 20cm cant remember what make they r but there not bent or cable tied together and there in ports 4,5,6.its just a 10 gig partionand the run was the long bench (32mb zones)

Ive just been having a little play around with a single drive using standard cables and shielded ones - to try and eliminate crosstalk.

Well, this is the result just on a single drive on this rig:

The RED is the standard SATAII cable

The Blue is the shielded SATAII cable

To be honest I was hoping for a little more:confused: Maybe the true benefit, if any, will come from multiple RAID0 drives??

I will update in the next couple of days, but if anyone has any input/suggestions........

Thanks

the benefits from better cables should hopefully come when theres multiple disks and the cables are near to each other- especially if the disks are RAIDed
