Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

As I was looking at getting the 8700K a mate of mine in work said he was selling his as he moved up to an i9 7980XE, Gave me a workmate discount so paid £200 for it, Quite a good clocker too, 5GHz game and bench stable at 1.29 volts.

Also bought the Asus ROG Maximus X Formula board to drop it into :)

I've never known a gym house so many tech addicts as the ones you work at Dice.. just sayin'

There's only 3 people including me at my gym who are into tech out of around a total of 30 employees, The mate I just bought the 8700K from is VERY well off so I end up buying his old toys off of him only weeks after he buys them ^_^

Dice, start a log man.

Will do, I'll started tomorrow when the board arrives, I'll take step by step photos etc... :)

I needed a connector to hook up my D5 pump to my power supply so I can run a leak test and 48-hour purge with SysPrep on the loop. Since I have never watercooled, and don't really build at home very often these days... I came up empty. On a whim I stopped in a little PC shop to see what I could score. For $100 i walked out with an i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Intel Mainboard, and CPU cooler. Oh, and a handful of standoffs and screws. A decent deal to be sure, but to put it in perspective, that DDR3 RAM goes for $70 for a 4GB kit...! Now I have to come up with something to build this into once my current build is done, lol.

£130 the lot man.

I've not spent a single penny in over two weeks. That's why I got so much.

Yeah because you said you were broke buying the frame 2 weeks ago. Also headphones for £450 or so recently too?

Jesus, my bank account would be empty if I kept that up. Small costs all add up over time :D

edit* love the green colour above. Awesome choice. My bike and downhill gear are the same !

The headphones were a rare purchase tbh. I bought those with cash I made from selling my RC cars. So that was why I was able to buy such a high priced item. Still, at £450? it was worth it. That is half of the RRP and they are mind bendingly good. I have not found a single type of music they don't do absolutely brilliantly. A first !

I guess it seems that I spend money a lot. Thing is, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke (vaping is about my only vice, and that is very cheap) and I don't go out. So every purchase I make is always online.

Once summer comes I stop spending and just enjoy everything tbh.

Yeah the flouro is awesome. I was going to keep it all blue and purple but I had those 4 pegs lying around for years. I got them for £4.99 each. Not bad when you consider they were £35 each at retail new. Very high end pegs..

The fork was the decider though. I got those for £35 inc, brand spanking new taken from a brand new bike.

So yeah, very happy with that. Plus I wouldn't dare throw neon parts on any of my other bikes hahaha.

Just grabbed one of these for around £60 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0100QRVP0/?tag=pcp0f-21). It'll allow me to move my current SFX power supply that I bought when I was planning an SFF main rig into my Silverstone ML03B HTPC and use this to power my now ATX main rig.

The SFX PSU will be replacing the nasty Akasa PSU I got for £15 second hand in the HTPC. What that means is that there will be more room for cable management so I can mount a 5.25 bracket that will support a slim ODD and two 2.5" drives. I replaced the old HDD bracket by mounting a 240mm AIO.

Should come together nicely. All it'll need then is an SSD before moving on to upgrading my main rig. Given I've just saved £30 on the SuperNOVA which happens to be the price of 120GB 2.5" Kingston...

Good colour! I paid £350 for my pedals haha.

The colour just mesmerises me everytime i clean them :D

Ooo those are lovely !! I got as far as about £60. That was the most I have ever spent on pedals. I was going to get Hope pedals but decided on the ones I got instead. Did you have to do all of the pins yourself? that took me ages, especially as I realised there were two different lengths all together lol. And I ended up bleeding too :D

Edit haha forgot to mention. On my test ride last week (when I realised something was quite badly wrong) I was trying my absolute hardest not to shin myself with the spikes. I did really well too, managing no injuries. Then as I was coming through the door (with the bike between my legs) I pulled a pedal right into my calf muscle lmao. It bloody hurt too !

Yeah and use trial and error since you can adjust the height on both sides of the pedal. Centre point can be adjust also for those people who want stiff pedals while getting big air to find your feet again.

Always run with DMR V8s myself, nice solid platforms and they are easy to find before landing ;) unless you miss a pedal one day and the other smashes your shin just because you forgot to wear your shin pads.
