I need some storage pretty bad tbh. Four out of the six drives in my daily rig are now showing red. 2tb would do it.
Problem is they're still quite expensive, so I bought a used Dlink NAS from my mate for £20. I've got two laptop drives (a 350gb and a 160gb) so they're getting chucked in it and I am going to move my music etc away from the main rigs to spare up some space.
In time I will drop bigger drives in the NAS, but April is my wife's birthday among other things and thus I will be skint for all of it.

I'm struggling for space like mad now, shifting games around and my ever growing OC3D archive of TTL memes, renders and Photoshop stuff its amazing how fast you run out of space. 2tb was only £60 from Scan so I'm happy enough and its much needed as my SMART data is not pretty at all.

Changing over from X99 to Z270, After doing quite a few tests with a friends portable LAN rig equipped with a 7700K and 1080 Ti I found the 7700K offered slightly better gaming performance over my 5930K, I'm also moving down to a micro ATX form factor and case, Corsair Air 240 Black, And seeing as the only MATX board on X99 is from Asrock that is a no go for me, I just haven't decided on the Z270 MATX motherboard to use yet.

I used to <3 Kef, the speakers sound-wise are great. But the eggs I bought had a weird satin-finish silicon based paint and it breaks down and turns into what can best be described as.. well... a thin layer of Road Tar..
They get SUPER sticky and can't be used without cleaning. And you need to use some proper Cancer-inducing fluids to get that off. I've cleaned 3 and suffered from respiratory issues after so haven't bothered with the other 4 yet Ended up getting some second hand 2-and-a-half-way floorstanders by them for the living room, they'll do for now

There is method to my madness.
I'm moving to Texas for 12 months to help a friend out on his ranch in November, An MATX build will be far easier to transport over than a big cube case.
Performance wise I'm not losing anything in games and in certain scenarios I'm gaining a few frames so it's a win-win situation

Asrock is a no go for me, I want the board to be aesthetic and Asrock falls short on the X99 MATX front.
The Air 240 is quite small, Any smaller and I would be compromising on cooling which isn't something I'd want, Appreciate the input though
