Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I read the 702's had an anemic bass, but that's perfect for gaming, content creation, and most styles of music. The worst headphones are usually bloated in the bass. It's the first thing I would look for; bloated bass.
Apparently most of the anaemic reputation comes from the fact that these are hard headphones to drive. With a decent amp/dac combo it's perfectly sufficient.

Either way, I'll probably only use my beyers while traveling from now on due to insulation.

Yeah, this is often the case. In terms of high-end headphones like the K702's, if you find a very specific element lacking, you can often improve them with things like cables, DAC's, amplifiers, different audio sources, etc. You can't turn a crappy pair of headphones into a good pair, but you can navigate around certain idiosyncrasies of good headphones to make them slightly more suited to your preferences.

Yeah that's true. Honestly in the high end audio market, there's an infinite number of combinations. Each one unique to each person. It's mind boggling:p

Yeah, a total rabbit hole that will likely bleed you of money. I picked up a few pieces last year and that's me done. I don't want to think about audio equipment for many years. ;)

Ordered these back in November (after I saw Z-Review's video on these), but they only just arrived a few days ago.

Great timing honestly. I've been glued to my bed for the past week or so, with what's assumed to be glandular fever. So I've just been chilling in bed with my laptop and some nice FLAC music.

I'm honestly blown away by how good these sound for the money. There's some distortion when listening to heavy electronic music (Daft Punk's Derezzed is a good example of this), but I'm blaming that on my laptop's onboard soundcard. Plus, I don't really listen to electronic music that often anyway. The bass is VERY smooth, though. Mids are very decent, too. But most of all, the soundstage and imaging are outstanding for a closed-back pair of cans.

I'll probably invest in a decent budget AMP/DAC, like the SMSL M3 or the FX-Audio DAC-X6, in the future. For now, I'm more than content with just these cans. The Dark Souls III OST never sounded this crisp to me.

Very nice A-N. I think I prefer open back to closed, but my B&Os definitely get me off the hook when my wife is in the same room as me :) Just watched the review, great cans for the cash !

Sorry to hear you're under the weather. I've had EB too (glandular) and it's no fun :( stay in the warm and get well soon mate.

I feel like you have 100 of those already. every time I pop into this thread, I always see you buying ML fans:p
Are they even good? Better than APs or GTs?

Well I buy a lot for family members so not just myself ^_^

But yes they are good, I keep them spinning at 500RPM and even at that speed they move a good amount of air and are completely silent.

That chair looks like one of those that you will miss forever. Like an old friend, smiling at you.

That chair deserves a ceremony !

What about a slightly higher RPM like 800? Still pretty much silent? I have generally avoided Corsair fans, but the new ML versions look pretty spiffing.

Naw was just a cheap faux leather 59$ chair but she served me well for 4-5 years but she's off to the dumpster but fear not I set her to the side instead of inside maybe someone will take pity and give her a new home despite her shedding faux leather bits all over

But I'm loving the new chair the arms raise up so now it can go all the way under my desk space without scratching up the arm coverings
