Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Yes, while the rest of the known world sells body parts to upgrade to Kaby Lake, I'm finally jumping on the Intel bandwagon with a Sandy Bridge bundle.

It's my first upgrade in several years and is replacing my aging AMD Phenom II x4 955 which I've been running in an AM2 motherboard with 8gb of DDR2800, so to me this is a significant system jump!

For not much more you could of gone to kaby lake

All you do is crimp them :D

Moar byke perts.

I sold a monitor, so I now have nearly everything to build the bike once it has been powder coated :)

Oh yeah, Chinese Ebay seller duped me on the stem it will not fit a BMX so I had to order another one and will argue the case with the bellends now.

You need damn help dude, You always seem to be buying something every week.....

haha. Well it's been Christmas and a lot of it was what I bought with money given to me..

This second bike though? that's entirely different. When I was in my late 20s I built a bike costing £2000. My grandfather loaned me the last £400 and then died before it was complete. So this bike kinda meant the world to me.. I was leaving work (at a bike shop) one night and some crack head ********* smacked me over the head with a bar and stole it.

Since then I have had a few bikes. None of them compared to my Quadangle though. So, I am going to build a replica of that bike. That's why all of the parts. The frame is coming from SoCal where they are made, managed to get a great deal on that. Then it's off to powder coat and paint etc.

I don't waste cash. For example, I don't drink, I no longer smoke and I don't have any vices. I had to make it that way because of my messed up brain. So when I buy things I save up and I buy big quality things.

I don't sell them either. If I don't want something I usually either give it away or sell it at a price that I will never have to hear from the buyer again.

There are certain sides to humanity that I do not like. Last week I listed my wife's £300 chair for sale for £100 and the emails I got just left me in disgust and reminded me what I hate about the human race - greed. People saying "Well I only usually pay £20 for chairs like this but I will offer £30 for this one" etc.

Just talking out of their arses to try and rip me off. Of course I have had none of it, and have told them where to go :D

I was on the fence on waiting on Vega. I had a shot at getting on these really cheap, so I jumped at the chance to add this to my Sapphire Nitro Fury for a nice crossfire setup again. So far so good. This should hold me over till Navi.

Crossfire will drive you batty. It's just so screwed.

Having said that I have pretty much switched to my Fury X machine full time now and the GPU has been doing a great job. Bit of coil whine coming through the headphones (but nothing without them, odd) but apart from that it's been awesome. Not had any VRAM complaints either, just RAM ones but I got those sorted by upgrading to 16gb.

So I was only going to clean the dust filter and ended up doing a strip and rebuild. Why not it's the last day before I go back to work..

I bought this a few weeks ago and never posted it. King of Old School is going to have an aneurysm because GREEN PCB WTF!!!

Ignore the mess out the back. It's like a PC with a Mullet.

My motherboard is pretty old being a Z77 so unfortunately it means no M.2 goodness.
The good news is that when the glass is in place the green is hardly noticeable. I could mod something to cover it but to be honest I don't mind it.

I also took advantage of the stripdown to install some Noctua fan speed reducers and I've put my old X-Fi Titanium back in. It's so quiet now I have to look at it to remind myself it's turned on. Hopefully the temps don't suffer too much.

Your damn right we pay enough for them, They all should be BLACK PCB.

I would imagine that most of those types of drives end up in laptops where you don't see them? that may be why.

Nice. I use the AKG K7XX Massdrop headphones with the Qck mousepad. Best headphones I've used so far.

Ditto. I was worried these wouldn't be bassy enough for my taste after using DT-770s for years, but surprisingly, there's plenty. Maybe I listen to particularly bassy music. :D

I read the 702's had an anemic bass, but that's perfect for gaming, content creation, and most styles of music. The worst headphones are usually bloated in the bass. It's the first thing I would look for; bloated bass.

I like my head shaken sometimes. For that though I just use the biggest set I have. Everything else is there with other headphones if you listen for it :) for example I don't feel any bass drop with my Grados but it is all there detailed and precise.

I like to switch between my bassy cans (Hifiman) and my Grados. Nothing can match my Grados for sound precision and accuracy.

But yeah, usually if a set of cans are bass heavy there's not that much you can do about it. You reduce the bass through an EQ and the details are just not there. My Musical Fidelity are like that but they do sound nice with my phone. Very hard to get a nice solid bassline out of a phone.
