Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Yep, like i said i have the EK Vardar 120mm Fan F4-120ER 2200RPM White and i can't hear them at all....well maybe the only time i hear them is when i first start the computer up maybe some people have bad ones or they haven't correctly set them up i'm not sure.

TBH i have been pretty damn impress with these EK fans, IMO i think the EK fans are better than the Noctua's, if you disagree that's fine but it's my opinion.

I had a horrible time with the white vardars. First 11 I bought all whined the moment I used a splitter on them and pushed them through a controller. They don't share pwm signals well. However my local store happily kept replacing them until I got a set that were quiet. I made about 30 rmas in total but stuck with ek because they are great performers.

The fans are silent if running off a mobo header but try to use a splitter cable and run them through the aqua aero 6 and they shriek between 35% and 60% pwm.

It's not that people have set them up bad. It's that they are really poorly made. The rma on these are crazy I was told.

I don't know when i was using mine i didn't have any issues using them and they were plugged into a fan splitter not sure if my hearing is stuffed or i don't know what the shrieking noise is but i did have a whistling noise but i think that was from the H105.

But now i have something like a buzzing noise coming from my computer not sure what's causing it atm but it's really annoying.

Is the splitter connected to the header on your mobo or a controller? Besides the fans don't buzz so I don't think it's them. I kid you not when I say the fans shriek or squeal. Quite unpleasant

I'm sure i had them both ways on a splitter and on the CPU header on the motherboard maybe it was just the motherboard CPU header i can't remember too long ago and i was using a different case to what i'm using now.

I did read on another forum a person has buzzing noise coming from their computer another person said it could be the UPS but knowing mu luck it's not going to be the UPS cause that is the easiest fix and for me it's never the easiest fix.

Well, Couldn't be bothered waiting anymore for AMD to drop their stuff and considering the price of the Asus Strix, The Matrix will be stupid money so took the plunge and pre-ordered Zotacs top end 1080, The 1080 Amp Extreme, Fully custom extended phat PCB with some phat cooling and user configurable RGB on the backplates "Push The Limit" and on the little transparent plastic part on the side of the card.

Had a play around with Zotacs last gen flagship, The 980 Ti Amp Extreme, And it was maHOOsive, Biggest card I've ever seen in terms of cooling.

Looking forward to whenever it arrives :)

Finally got around to picking up a steering wheel. Part early birthday present from my better half, although she's as excited as me to play with it!! (ahem)

Pain in the butt to install as I had to use an internal USB2 header. My case and mobo are USB3 only. Still where there's a will there's a way!!

Please excuse the crappy photos. It's just past 11PM and my phone is a potato.

now I've got to get a new case, motherboard and some extra storage. I was going AMD for gpus (as my Ti has been a bit poop) but in the end I couldn't wait.

I'm now waiting for AMD's 480 as I'm going to be on 1080P for the foreseeable future so cancelled my GTX 1080 pre-order and also returned my 43" 4K monitor.

Ended up getting a decent 32" 1080P TV for my desk as the 4K 43" was killing my eyes due to me sitting only 1-2 feet away from it and very rarely did I use anything above 1080P in games so I got a nice looking panel with some change back :)

Also got an Oculus Rift DK2 I managed to find for cheap :)

New case and PSU. yeah its just a size up from my current rig and no one seems to run that case with an SLI setup because it doesn't have much airflow but hey. I don't have space for the full sized version.

Also to be ordered is a z97 ar and an SLI bridge because my 1070s didn't come with one
