It will be fine with the Ranger as there is a huge clear area below the socket. Some boards with a 'southrbidge' heatsink spanning across under the socket can block off where the fittings could come out of the pump is all. If you see what I mean...

Thanks i hope i haven't screwed you around when i say this but i'm going to have to put it on hold for the time being cause it's an item that falls into "I Want" Category not "I Need"
I need a DAC/Speakers I need a new printer.

Thanks for all of the advice you gave me.

Dude, this just means you have more sense than most of us. I fall in the "i want" way too much and then realise its not for me. Money wasted...

Northbridge ;)

After weeks and weeks of reading and research I got this.

In this colour.

I was going to hang onto my Herman Miller, but one of the arms cracked and basically crumbled and now it's rough and I keep catching my arm on it.

That chair doesn't look high enough for me

Nice looking chair. I was surprised how expensive they are but to be honest considering how long you sit at your desk it's a really good investment. Happy to spend $1000's on GPUs, etc but often we neglect our butts (my back is cooked I need to stand more)

Yeah about six months ago my back and bum really started to pay me back for sitting in some crap chairs. Now I am having trouble sitting for more than two hours so it means constant breaks all the time. I doubt this chair will fix my back now but at least it's got a head rest on it so I can really sit back into the chair.

Sadly good chairs don't come cheap, much like anything really. The one I have now is a Herman Miller and I bought it second hand about 18 months ago for £130. It's served me very well but last week one of the arms decided to split. I glued it but it had a reaction with the glue and just crumbled.

Let's put it this way though, I spend a lot less money on chairs than I do computer parts !

Good chairs like this Humanscale don't look very tall dude. It's because they're very bulky. Herman miller and Steelcase ETC all look the same (sorta). My wife has a chair and the back of it looks like an alien capsule lol.

I had a look at them before i got my DXRacer chair and i found those chair would only come up about 3/4 of my back and i would rather have a chair that is completely taller than me when i would be sitting in it, Don't get me wrong i'm sure there worth the money but there way out of my price range.

When your nearly 200cm tall you don't have many choices when it comes to chairs.

The head rest is extendable.

I avoided the DXracer tbh. I find bucket seats very constrictive, especially after doing a 20 hour drive in one lol.

I did think about getting a very high end Sparco with massive bottom padding but it would have worked out to about £450 or more.

The chair I got retails for around £570 for the base model. Time you add in armrests and fabric on the arm rests instead of plastic it comes out to about £700. I managed to find an upholsterer that buys in damaged chairs (rips and so on) and then refurbishes them completely. The base is repainted and the fabric all completely replaced. You even get a choice of colour too and the guy has a good reputation :)

The rest of the chair (body and so on) are all carbon. Not Carbon fibre, more like graphite.

The best bit? he charges £200 collected or £250* delivered (I agreed to pay a £15 surcharge via PPG to cover his Paypal fees).

That's one hell of a lot of chair for £250. Especially when you consider it's been completely reupholstered and therefore pretty much new.

Plus my living room is all 1920s and Art Deco. I'm sure my wife would have had my balls if I stuck a bucket seat in there lol. That's why I chose the colour I did because it's close to the duck egg accents in the sofa we have.

I still don't think i could get that head rest high enough for me, from what i have learn about the DXRacer chairs they do take time to get used to them. Also here we would be looking at about $1250-$1500 for a chair like you have at a guess could be lower i'm not sure.

Yeah I would never buy one of these chairs at full retail price. I was all set and sold on a Herman Miller Aeron at first. They're £960 or so new and then £50 for the headrest. I managed to find one on Ebay for £340 but there is a but... When I read the small print I noticed it said "Warranty does not cover mesh". Well FFS, like, 90% of the chair is bloody mesh and I've seen numerous chairs on Ebay with rips in the mesh ! Once you get a tiny hole that's it it spreads like wildfire.

So that really put me off. My dream chair is a Herman Miller Embody but they are more like £1500. Which I admit is a little ridiculous. Even used they are selling for £650-£800.

If this chair does not help with my back (it should, apparently it's the best chair out there for back issues) then I will have to basically buy a long HDMI cable and wire my PC up into the TV and play on the sofa.

Only problem is that the 4k input is 30hz only so I would probably have to run it at 1080p. Not really something I could live with after being on 4k for over a year now.
