Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Pulled the trigger on this. I'm extremely happy with it! Didn't have a watch yet, and now that I need to deal with train times etc. I felt like I was in the need of a good timepiece.

Sorry for the bad image quality. :(

It's one of the better G-Shocks I've seen. Before my current watch I've always had the dual analogue and digital faces.

I like the G-Shocks. A bit big maybe but the Aviation line are gorgeous. I do like the analogue/digital as I forget the time 4 seconds after I look at it and look a bit of a muppet if I stare at my wrist too long trying to work out what the big hand is on...

Just bought this:

a cheapie (only 70 bucks) but a big upgrade over my former stand which was a cardboard box.

Much more stable. Very Shiny. Lots of fingerprints to clean.

Aye, I'm very happy with it. My eye immediately fell on this one, as it's quite stealthy. The new G-shock Steel series watches are my favourite, but they are way too expensive for me. Pictured model below costs €799,-

Bye bye sleep and bye bye gaming time hahahah
Are you a bit nervous? Guessing its ur first aye?
Good luck though, hope everything goes smooth :)

First.. yes

Nervous.. surprisingly not.. although that might change once we've got her home. :D

Whats the make/model number please? I've been looking for one of those for a while. if its any good that is :D

In Australia it's marketed as Brateck model LDT02-T02V

Free Standing Dual Vertical Monitor Stand fits most 13 - 23 inch LCD monitors and screens (mine are 24" and are fine) 75x75 and 100x100 Vesa mounts, Rotate 360 degrees and has -15 to +15 degree tilt.

I'd say it's just a generic brand for Oz as I only get .au web sites when I search. No doubt it's available elsewhere just under a different brand name.

There are a few inches of adjustability left so I could probably go up a screen size as long as it's within the weight restrictions. For example I reckon you could fit a 27 on the bottom and keep the 24 on top but you'd lose the ability to rotate portrait/landscape. I keep mine in landscape so it's not an issue for me.

There are probably nicer ones out there but the finish looks nice. I won't be moving it around much. I had no troubles assembling it and quality is not bad. The alternate I looked at (Atdec Visidec) was $240 so I'm pretty happy with this one for the price!

The Atdecs are undoubtedly a better quality (we use them at work) but I couldn't justify it for home.

That is lush. But yeah too pricey for my wrist as well!

yes I have bought a freesync monitor for my nVidia setup. F*ck spending the extra for gsync when I'm probably going AMD come upgrade time.

oh and a display port cable :D

You getting another of the same monitor ?

nope just going to use my current Acer (basic LED, 1080p etc) as a secondary screen while I use the Asus as my main screen. I've gotten so used to two or more screens because of my work I always catch myself trying to drag things to a screen that doesn't exist. I currently have to use my tablet as a secondary screen, which isn't ideal.

I'm pretty sure its the one I used to have at work which was reasonable. if not then I did buy it on amazon so returning it should be easy enough.

Report back and let us know. It's always handy to have a list of decent monitor stands that actually bloody work.

Looks much better with the stand.

Care to explain why this one is a gamble? I was thinking of getting one, but I am skeptical on the clamp. Is this your reasoning?

In my experience, they are often rated way above what they can actually hold. My work recently had to get rid of a load of stands as they couldn't hold our -slightly chunky- Asus monitors.

We have some great dual monitor clamp stands that are bulletproof. I'll try and find the name and model and report back.
