Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I personally have 2 x Fractal Venturi HP 140's in my 350D at the moment and when I first opened them up, the build quality felt on par with Noctua. The rubber thingys on them were just top notch, highly recommend them :)

Just pulled the trigger on this ASRock board and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4-2400MHz. :D

Now... all I have to do is wait until I can get an i7-6700k, the availability of which still isn't there from the retailers I usually use for PC hardware.

The i5-6600k is available, but I kind of want the extra threads and the higher stock clock speed the i7 offers for the various stuff I do other than gaming.

Hopefully the wait won't be too long! :(

That ASRock board looks good.
I couldn't find a 6700K anywhere that wasn't at a highly inflated price.
I decided to hold off for now.

It's the same here for the 6700k, a number of places have it listed at the standard price but they haven't got it in stock. Any place that has it in stock is charging far too high a price. :(

I picked that ASRock board for a few reasons:

  • It's a generous amount of USB ports at the back.
  • Most of the USB ports are 3.0 and not 3.1 like some of the MSI or Asus boards. I've no real need for 3.1 yet, and I could see it causing some compatibility problems too.
  • All those 3.0 ports come from the Intel Z170 chipset too instead of a 3rd party controller.
  • There's DVI, Display Port & HDMI at the back, meaning I can use the onboard graphics for my current and likely future monitors if I have to.
  • It doesn't have a Killer NIC, the standard Intel is fine.
  • It's got the upgraded Realtek ALC1150 audio codec.
  • It's priced quite well too.
I just hope I don't have to look at it in the box for too long. :p

Ahhhh just the shells ^_^

What are you using them for ?

Correct! Sorry for purposely baiting you in :). Not bad at $50 US each. These are more sacrificial lambs (Titanic Lambs though) for my build Parallel In The Black. The only parts that I won't be using are the fans and plate that says Titan. What exactly I'll be doing with them will be revealed in the build thread :).

Just came back from my college introduction camp, and I'm officially starting my course next week. With that, I needed an HDD bigger than my temporary 160GB one, so I bought a 2.5" 1TB WD Blue for my laptop.

I didn't really buy the following, but I got a free copy of Windows 10 Education from my school, which has a lot of nice features (targeted at students obviously) over Windows 10 Home. Additional support for BYOD (Bring your own device) is very nice for my particular course.

I've actually stopped buying Protein Powder now for quite a while.

I'm avoiding dairy, but I've found it works out cheaper each week to just buy an extra full chicken or some extra organ meat like liver or kidneys. :p

Nice going. I remember getting my current copy or Windows 7 for like €30 back weeks after 7 first came out.

Pretty damn good deal given I'm still using the same copy, and I've moved it between 3 PCs now.
