Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

As resident AMD rep you need to be running the flagship of course :p

Its not that I'm a fanboy.. I just can't stand the way Nvidia runs.. so the only option for me is AMD and they are better than what most people think. If Intel were amazing and was competing I'd buy their stuff instead:)

Quad crossfire 390X 8GB's?

Quad Fury X? Just gotta find somewhere to put 480mm worth of AIO:p

Nice NDB have fun with it :D

Hopefully it doesn't have coil whine. Though the person I bought it from says it's a replacement(still new unit) he got after a recall because of the pump. So it shouldn't have any :)

Bought something new whoooooo

Yes... again, cause this morning I realized I had only bought one of them and it wasn't a pack of two as I thought

Wouldn't that be inferior in most situations with less vram. I know through some BS that I can't rightly comprehend we are supposed to believe Fury's HBM is equivalent to more than 4GB of GDDR5 surely it isn't close to 8GB though.

HBM so far at 4k with many games hasn't shown a limitation. Think I read that with such a wide bus open at one time and clever algorithms and etc to keep everything from sitting in the memory pool, it effectively makes it about 6GB worth of memory.

So Dice, any room to join the club?;)

I've read in a few places *I'll link the articles when I find them* that 4GB of HBM is roughly equivalent to 2-3 times that in GDDR5 terms.

So 1GB HBM = 3GB GDDR5 etc etc...

Well, it's not "Some BS", Richard Huddy mentioned something along the lines of being the equivalent to 2-3 times that of GDDR5, There are other articles around, I'll find them later.

A strap button? Do you play guitar/bass?

Aye, they arrived this morning and it's for my acoustic guitar :) If you look on the page before that post you'll see there are some other goodies too. I'll post some pictures in this thread when it's done.

I've also done a complete stratocaster build log here :)
