Thanks SuB, I was in Watford the other day and they had a Lego store, seeing what they had just made me want to start building and collecting

I've done the majority of it now. Chassis and drivetrain. Just the engine cover etc needs to be done.

We are not worthy of Sub's collection.

Ordered a new toy for the OCD Cave! It's an LG 47LB730V, hopefully it will look a sight more impressive on the wall than my 32E30 and it shouldn't be bad for the occasional game. And who knows maybe it will get its own HTPC one day. Happy birthday to me

Nope just 1080p, there is a 49" model that is 4k for another £400 however it is not at all well reviewed, because it upscales to 4k from consoles and stuff the input lag is horrific, something like 88ms. Also seeing as we don't have HDMI2.0 on any GPU's it would be a bit useless with a PC even (obv 30hz locked). All the other 4k screens are mahoosive and expensive so it looked like the way forwards right now.

Ahh I see, if anyone is waiting for a 4K TV if you wait until next year they are going to come with the tech needed for 4K channel viewing, at the moment they don't have it so imagine spending all that money on a TV and then needing a friggin set-top box for it next year!

That sounds much better, all of the things that will make 4k a nice package really aren't in place yet. Everything needs to have HDMI 2.0, at least some of the streaming services need to sort out their 4k game, 4k Blu Rays need to be a major thing and consoles need to man the f up lol. Ok that last one won't happen but a serious amount of content needs to be available, I don't think TV content is a major issue people were happy to buy Full HD TV's without FreeviewHD for a long time. Although to be fair if the LG had displayport and just came across a tiny bit better in reviews I would have had one.

This is also the first time i've not bought Panasonic despite the last 9 TV's i've bought for my family all being Pana's. It's kinda weird going LG but it just looked so sexy and the Wii style pointer worked so nicely with the browser I had to have it. Panasonic have some really nice features like twin tuners and freetime as well as all the catchup services but the bezels look so sh@ on the AS740B it's just not worth the extra money.

Not gonna be setting it up as my daily driver until the weekend, but she charged up fine, and started up and restored the same apps I have on my Note 3 without me even needing to do much other than enter my google account last night, the usual Android awesome'ness there

After first glances CyanogenMod seems pretty good, very much like vanilla Android in fact, but I'll get to that The back of the thing feels strange, but very cool! I thought the back/battery was removable but I was wrong, was hoping to get a bamboo back for it at some point but I guess that's a no-go for now.

The packaging is excellent, really minimalist and very cool.

Yeah, the Bitfenix units aren't all that cheap but when you factor in £80 for braided cables they suddenly become a lot more attractive.
