Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

its a ~30 year old campagnolo aluminium wheel. Its so pretty I couldn't get rid of it :'(. Heres an old photo of it.Its the bike in the middle. Its honestly the spoilt brat of my 'fleet'. The bikes to the right and left of it get used alot more than it yet they've cost a whole lot less.

yeah it shows that you have put some love into her mate, thats a nice collection of bikes too by the way haha.

i think the only original part on my bike will be the frame, once my parts get here anyway ^_^

£75 for just a service seems a little pricey though how long have you have the forks?

That's the price you pay for Fox suspension :( had these forks 3 years now.

My GT STS Lobo DH & LTS 3000DS XC bikes were stolen 5 years ago and would love to get them back, at least my Lobo, I miss the Rockshox feel on a DH rig.

Thanks ^_^. I'm planning on doing a scratch built fixed gear (using something like this handmade beaut) as my first truly ground up build (the green one) was made on a very small budget and has alot of problems (cheap Chinese parts break, whodathunkit). I wish I could justify getting a mountain bike but I have no trails near me.

I would just not service them and run them into the ground then buy a new pair of forks, unless like you love them or something. I love my Stumpjumper so much I don't want to ride it now, it just sits in my room and I have to dust it like my PC.

I guess, but as I use to ride DH at competition level, I got used to having "that feel" to my ride which only comes with regular servicing. I can feel when the Nitrogen needs filling or a seal is about to go.. it's just me.

well these will be my first set of Rockshox, they're replacing my 3/4 year old Manitou which have seen better days

if you do end up doing a ground up build, you will have to do a build log for us to look at haha. i may throw a pic of my ride up once i have my new stuff fitted, she ain't anything special but she is heavily customized

I will do! I was actually planning to completely overhaul my green bike after I've done my PCs so that it'll sell for more. Currently its in pieces after the (ebay special) crank fell off while I was riding on a main road :cussing:. I looked so stupid cycling with one foot (I was only able to as its a fixed gear so no freewheel) :').

I once snapped a pedal arm after a hard landing, and in the process potted the pink ball.. not an experience I'd like to replicate.

I remember when my chain snapped about 3 months ago (one of the pins joining the chain bits together has fallen out), i was on the road going fast and when the chain snapped I did fly over the handle bars because of the force i was applying to the pedals, that was a really painful experience especially for my legs.

kingston data traveler microduo.. This is pretty useful, especially since my phone doesn't have a microSD slot.. Also, this is the first time I bought anything from dealextreme, I did it because they have free shipping, everywere else the shipping would cost more than the product itself. Shipping was slow, took well over a month to ship..

Congrats, I still fiddling about with my 4790k, I've had it running at 4.85 so far without tweaking it too much, I just not had the inclination to push it any further yet.... I personally blame the steam sale for that..... :D

Race to 5ghz? ;).

Jokes aside it seems that the average pentium k chip thus far does around 4.5ghz. Its an old school game (or any game that only uses 2 cores) killa!

5GHz, might be the straw that breaks camels back, I already up to just over 1.35 Volts, and so I dont really want to add too much more to it, have done a bit of overclocking yrs ago, but it just not the same with these new boards and all the options it throwing at me, so if it is a race, I def gonna loose, plus, I think i might be about at its limit now as the temps are spiking too much, was hitting mid 90's when stressing it at 4.85, but the twins... now that a different story, I just max out Asus's GPU tweak, move sliders all the way across on the speed for mem and GPU clocks and they still want more :D

GPU Boost, from 1150, to 1300 (max it goes)
Memory Clock from 6008, all way up to 6608

Think I might have to give afterburner a try n see if can squeeze some more out of them. I haven't needed to adjust the voltages etc for the twins when boosting the clocks, so the weekend if I get some time (inlaws wedding aniversary so will have less time than usual) if I don't manage to get it done before then, will see about running some 3d mark on stock (4GHz cpu, 1150 GPU 6008 Mem) and then running it with everything pushed as far as can.

Yeah, a barn find of last month has received all my attention lately instead of my actual daily driver.

Just bought it a new, or well, unused rear cassette and chain. :)
