Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

As much as I love the Mini R2, it would've been amazing to see a build in one of the mATX Phanteks cases. Thought if there was one person up for that, it'd be you ;)

Oh s*** you're right, to be honest though I can shift the Mini R2 quite easily if needs be ;). I went with the Mini R2 as its a bit more tamer looking by pc case standards and won't look too out of place where it'll be going in my house. Maybe when I eventually upgrade it to a full loop with a different res and pump I'll get that case ^_^. TBH its not designed to be my main rig. Its pretty much for media and storage duties with some game support to keep my younger brother from using my rig.

Just bought this on eBay for a future project, probably to be filled with hardware in at least a year, maybe longer. Got some plans for this case as it is looking a bit dated now, needs a refresh but always wanted one, just needs a bit of love and attention. :) First time painting, cutting and all that, scared!

I know there is a guy on here looking to do a project on one of these as well so I'm looking forward to what you do with yours.

Good lad! I'll be watching closely ;)
I bought an Alienware R3 case in the hope of doing a custom loop with it ( and winding people up about using an alienware case, oh the hate :') ). Instead I completely overhauled it and made alot of profit. Bought it for £130, repaired the DVD door thingy motor and fixed the scratches and sold it for a total of £280 a day after it was listed on Gumtree.

Oh no, I'm all alone! :( Thats good though, nice profit you made there! Always wanted this case since I was about 14 so finally got one! Going to put a lot of thought and effort into this, never modded a case before but seeing the builds on here is like I need to learn, make something personal and unique. :) I might make a teaser video for the fun of it, but I'll get hate until I start working on it haha. :D

Go for it! I'm sure it'll probably tempt me into doing something similar. What you'll want to do for that case is to a) cut some holes for cable management as there are none (dell/alienware never have been into cable managment and preferred to glue the cables to the motherboard tray) b) add some fan mounting points as I believe that case only really has a couple of 90mm fan mounts. I'll probably join you some day however I have waay too much to do at the mo' and I have no space for any projects.

Aye there will need to be something done for cable management. I have no idea what the distance between the motherboard tray and the back panel are like either yet, (probably not a great deal), the inside needs a lick of paint, possibly black but maybe a Asus red or something? Then black on the outside. I LOVE the matt black that I came across on google. I want to watercool this (I don't know much about that yet) but will most likely mean cutting a roof vent out, the HDD cages and optical bays need to go. Maybe add some feet. Who knows, just some first early thoughts. ;):D

Edit: And a window, but I want something different, funky but still enough to show the inside goodness!

I bet all you guys are pretty jealous of my lovely purchase..

..I didn't actually get it, worth a try though :D. Well, in hindsight it wasn't. It took like 2-3 months to get a refund after the seller was 'investigating' where the imaginary delivery went to (as soon as I asked for the details they used to enquire to their delivery service like they claimed in a previous email I got a refund).

I bought these to sort out some cable management. I've been using twist ties to keep everything somewhat tidy behind my desk but I saw a video that Barnecles made which I need to do.

Sweet buy! What did the Rockshox knock you back?

And reminds me I really must sort getting my forks/shock serviced.

the Rockshox XC32 Solo Air set me back £130, saved £60 on the Crank Brothers seat post and handlebars which is good though

£130!?! Seriously.. might be worth while me selling my FOX 32rcs rather than £75 servicing every year..

You think that is bad I forked out (pun intended) £300 six months ago to have my racer's rear wheel reconditioned.

yeah haha not a bad price really, £75 for just a service seems a little pricey though how long have you have the forks?

its a ~30 year old campagnolo aluminium wheel. Its so pretty I couldn't get rid of it :'(. Heres an old photo of it.Its the bike in the middle. Its honestly the spoilt brat of my 'fleet'. The bikes to the right and left of it get used alot more than it yet they've cost a whole lot less.
