Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

in your opinion, how are these in terms of feel and usability, I've been debating getting one for ages.....

this would be to replace my standard MS keyboard for fps games.

You need a big hand otherwise they are impossible to use and feel horrible in my opinion. I am 5 5 which is a bit short, and my hands are slightly smaller than average and I couldnt even reach the top row other than the middle, extending your thumb to the space bar and joystick thing hurts like hell too.

I wouldn't even think about it unless you have decent sized hands, although if you do (my roomate has) he says its far nicer than a keyboard.

I have 1 x 27" 1440P monitor, All I do is game on it so 1 is enough and Rocketdock is very handy, These "Docks" were out before apple made them popular.

don't you use your computer for any work at all? anything involving two+ sources is a pain in the arse even with a 1440p monitor.

I type out paperwork everyday that takes maybe 20 minutes I have no need for a 2nd monitor for me it would be pointless.

i really have no idea how you can live with one monitor
i mean, yeah, i got a 1440p one as well. but even right now i'm doing basically nothing, just sitting here, and all of my 3 monitors are completely full

I use something called space management :p

For me having another monitor just looks untidy.

I've never been able to justify needing a second monitor. If I work I have everything else switched off to avoid distraction. What do you fill your monitors with if your doing nothing?

Upgraded from 40/10 to 80/20 for an extra £10 ;)

I wish I had 20Mb/s up, I only get 3Mb/s up :( Virgin suck for upload speeds.
They are upgrading me from 60Mb/s down to 100Mb/s down from July onwards for free though. Hopefully they upgrade the upload as well, 10Mb/s up would be great.

Been with them since day 1, switched to BT 4 months ago, no regrets at all ^_^

I had one monitor but decided I wanted my browser full screen with skype and teamspeak still visible so the second one came in handy, it's nice having the second screen while gaming also because I'm able to see my browser, skype and teamspeak while in game, could do with a third one now that I always have a virtual machine running. Another good advantage is having team mates stream so you can easily keep an eye on each other.

After my negative experience with the R9 290 I decided to sell it, which was pretty easy to do thankfully.

The proceeds financed this, which is on its way to me now. :)

I'd have got a reference one because of how nice they look, but my case doesn't have a window and they were all a bit more costly.

I hope I don't regret it once Mantle hits, but it'll be a few more years before that gains traction, if any.

im with Sky now, with the Fibre Optic Pro package, hasnt missed a beat so far

Really? and provide a mediocre service, that not cool, id have words mate, if you dont say something they wont look into it!

I've tried. Its alot to do with them owning the infrastructure around here. They also won't put in fiber "For the foreseeable future". Looks like I'm stuck with 0.5 upload :(.
my PC was built for streaming/gaming. FFS

I bought a bum tonne of clothes. go me.

if mantle ever gains traction then in the form of an open standard by a third party, other than that it's just toying around like physx etc.
i doubt you'll regret it anytime soon, even though i don't really like the looks of the new DCUII.

lol, I'm with 'Kingston Communications' at my uni house. they have the monopoly in Hull for everything phone/internet wise. They're apparently rated the worst provider in the UK.

Well my 7950 will let me play with Mantle if it does really turn out to be quite cool. Although it's going to take a long time before it gets wide-spread adoption.

Although I'm actually debating selling the 7950 aswell, I could move it to my secondary rig, but my old Phenom II would most likely bottleneck it. Plus I've only got Debian on that so I think I'll just keep the GTX 560 in it for the sake of headaches in dealing with AMD's linux drivers.

Don't forget CPUs see Mantle benefits as well... thats actually the main performance increase.
