Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Might even be able to pick up a used one cheap by then :)

Probably yeah! I'm holding out because the two big games currently are BF4 and Ghosts which I have on PC/PS3, plus any bugs and actual hardware problems I would hope to be ironed out by getting on for a year away. I was expecting bigger bugs, like the old overheating issues of the current gen but there are still some out there. Also I would want to go PS4, just because I've had 1, 2, 3 so seems right progressing to four, but atm the Xbox One does have the better exclusives. We'll just have to see. :)

I am hopefully picking up my ps4 on friday, I pre ordered but I don't know if I got launch supply. I am getting it mainly as it is what my mates will be getting. I will play games like ghosts and killzone on that and bf4 on my pc

That is a valid reason, to get the same as your friends, makes sense tbh. Otherwise you'll end up alone. :(

Don't cry with laughter or anything but I'm looking at Nintendo's offerings, yeah I'm the cool one. ^_^ Just because I fancy a bit of Mario which I used to play when I was YOUNG, those games will never get old, but I'm unsure do I buy a 3DS XL or a Wii U? It's kind of a tough decision, I guess the Wii U does act like a DS being able to just sit and play on the controllers screen but it's not quite the same. I dunno.

I've had a look at the PS4/Xbox One this morning, 'limited availability' yeah the bundle packs that are £600 with all the games lol.

umm... I have both a 3ds xl and a wii u, nothing wrong with nintendo. I have been playing a fair bit of pokemon on my 3ds xl(which was brought for that and zelda). My Wii U is fun with friends when we just chill, other times I don't really use it.

What would you recommend more? I won't use the multiplayer or any sort of online feature like the browser or YouTube since I can get to them everywhere else really. I might even buy a Pokemon to see what they are like these days, not had one since I was 10 years old. Wish I had a little brother or something, the Wii U would make more sense then.

go the 3ds xl. The wii u is fun but meh most of the time. 3ds xl is a good portable game system. You should pick up pokemon, ev training is very easy this gen same with breeding. It is a decent game, story is the typical pokemon story but still good.

Nothing to exciting, just bought three of these Oamps to upgrade from the stock ones on my STX.

Thats what I'm thinking, swaying more towards the 3DS XL. Just watching some gameplay of zombiU though and wouldn't mind playing that, although his movements seem very stiff, not smooth like playing BF/CoD. That would just be annoying in a game like that when you need to move fast.

I bought myself a new corner-desk today. After spending 4 horrific hours of assembling it, by horrific i mean it was a nightmare. None of the holes aligned properly so had to redrill most of them.
Also had to redrill and retap the feet. The desk comes with M6 screws but the feet were tapped in M5 WTF!

I am glad i had some tools to get it sorted and working like it should. Someone who does not have a drill and tapping material would have had to bring it back.

Finally assembled, this baby is fooking huge (2300mm x 2000mm x 800mm),it looked smaller in the store ! I had to change the actual configuration of my room to make it fit.

Here is a picture. Note that this is my 27" screen sitting on it.

Still alot to do like making cable management holes and setup some nice LED's under there.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Got me a tasty 280x. Due to me being out of house most of the time due to work I have to wait until sat for it to be delivered. I went with it because its quieter than other 280xes.

I haven't done any searching on these SieB, but where did you find them?
Can you purchase them from Asus or did you have to get them off Ebay?

I got them from Ebay, i'm in the UK though so i'm not sure if you can get them from the US on there. No doubt you can though, they don't seem to be to hard to find anyway.

There are some links in this thread for the US though. It also has details on these opamps, others and the differences between them.

Thanks for responding back SieB , and thanks for the link , interesting read.
I might go for 2 of the 49720 in IV and the stock JRC2114D in the buffer.
Let me know what you think about your setup when you get them.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive :(

I got a code for a free QCK mousepad from them though. The mousepad came today, but my Rival has not come yet.

Got those OPAMPS today :)

They are definitely better than the stock ones in my opinion, although it's going to come down to what speakers/headphones you have as well.

These are bassier than the stock ones, there is more boom to the bass now.
Mids and tops sound a lot clearer and crisp and the sound stage is definitely wider.
You can hear more detail with these and the positional sound seems to be better as well.

All in all, definitely worth the £11 I paid :D

Did you put all 3 x 49720 chips in?
What speakers and headphones do you have ?
I have a klipsch 2.1 speaker setup and Sennheiser HD 650 headphones.

I put all three in, I don't have any headphones at the moment but I should be getting some AKG 702s pretty soon.

At the moment my speaker set up is this

Pretty good for what it is, i'll be upgrading to some better speakers and a much better receiver next year though.

The sound quality from the STX has made these speakers so much better though, and these new OPAMPS make them sound even more better.

You might as well try these OPAMPS out, they are pretty cheap and easy to install. Even if you don't prefer them to the stock ones you haven't wasted much money.
