Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Solid thinking mate ;). To be fair though, powerplugs are really good, I'd go for it if you can get an Ethernet cable long enough to stretch to it.

ill see what i can do, i been thinking to move all the computer gear upstairs, my living room has my server in it and thats not good for subtle factor!

and the router and modem casually sit under the TV, ahh man tonight once the lights are out ill take a video of my living room, its like a data centre in there

With all my PCs running my bedroom sounds alot like one of the server rooms at my work :l. Its only going to get worse as well as I'm in talks with work in getting some of their archaic xeons to make a folding rig :D.

MrKambo has summed it up nicely :)

The signal strength is much higher and the range is so much more better. With the ISP provided VM "Superhub" the wireless connection was intermittent and the range was frankly terrible.

Also, as MrKambo mentioned, it provides a 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless frequency, which is not a feature that most ISP provided modems/routers provide.

If you're a parent, some routers also provide parental control whereby you can limit the amount of time your children have access to the internet. Other notable features include QoS (Quality of Service), which allows prioritization of bandwidth.

There's a lot more if you delve deeper into the settings, but you can get the idea of how much benefit there is in getting a high quality router.

i hope there is only one and you sold the 780s for a proper price?

I did indeed :)

Not going SLI again though.

Heres the benchmark of Arkham City everything at max 1080p, AA, Physx, Also everything in the Nvidia control panel turned up to max such as AO, AA transparency etc... to really stress the Ti.

I'd use Arkham Origins built in benchmark but the last steam update disabled it :(

Also benchmarks of Unigine Valley, Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider everything at max at 1080p -

Only did a quick overclock of 1206/3610

If my damn car wasn't costing me so much i'd have a far better pc than I do atm so I guess it's a good thing :L

Yeah, you have to prioritise. It's tough for young drivers who also have a passion for all things PC. You either pay shitloads for a car or buy an awesome rig and catch the bus/train.

I've started learning about cars now as well and it's becoming a bit of a hobby :/. It sucks being an unemployed student (Don't get me started on part time jobs :( )

I was in your position not long ago. Working full-time now, but saving up for a new car so I can't indulge in the PC related luxuries. I'll be upgrading my graphics card soon though.
