Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I bought an Amazon Echo Show 5.

I wanted a bedside alarm clock I could ask for the time as I wake up a lot in the dark. I also want it for asking the weather, to know if it's even worth getting up etc. Wanted one for ages but was waiting for black Friday. Saved £30.

Going to be vertical mounting my 2080 Ti FE in my Corsair 680X which comes with built in support so got myself the Phanteks Premium riser cable, No idea what makes it premium though ^_^

Not my purchase but helped a friend spec/build/iron out an ITX PC recently and he decided to go for those new black 92mm Noctua fans to finish off the aesthetics, end result is quite nice:

The colour makes all the difference :) Nice one!

I wonder though, how are those in comparison to the slim 92mm?...

I see, well their dB specs are probably pretty accurate for comparing such similar models I'd think, but it;s worth bearing in mind frequency also has an effect on our ears, and ofc 25% higher RPM means 25% higher frequency too, which is psychologically more annoying. No way to measure or communicate that really.

Direct die getting dropped of tomorrow.

Any body know of any cases that can handle a horizontal E-ATX instead of vertical ?

Yeah yeah, I'm fully aware about that... When it comes to noise etc, it's all personal preferences and highly individual, how we experience it all.

Tbh I think the takeaway would be that unless you really need that extra 6mm or whatever, or couldn't fit it otherwise, the thicker options gives you a fair whack more, will be quieter and I think costs less.

What exactly are you referring to here? More airflow/higher static pressure?... As I'm planning of putting it as a rear exhaust fan in the NCASE M1 later on.

I recall a caselabs managing it but E ATX is some real estate... There will not be many at all. Mostly desk cases like LIAN LI DK-05X

Literally just closing my eyes for an afternoon nap and my phone beeped with email from AMD saying 3950x is in stock:

Should be here by friday, got no motherboard though :(

So do I sell my 7980xe and MSI Meg x299 creation ?
How much do you reckon I would get for it ?
Or should I stick with the 7980xe and flog the 3950x for a bit of profit ?

Personally I would get rid of the 7980XE and get the 3950X. Not only to get a bit money back in your pocket, but also to support AMD and ditch Intel. Due to their long running relation to their customers etc.
