Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I've tried to take pics of my rig (almost) completed and well, see for yourself.

It looks like total ass. I've tried three camera apps, yet none of them can even get close to what it actually looks like. It is nowhere near that bright in person. It's just saturating balls when I take pics.

I am super (groan) impressed with this 2070 Super, though. I've absolutely beaten my water cooled XP in every single test, which I was not expecting to do. Every one says it's on par with a 1080Ti, yeah, see that's proper moo poo. Thing is my XP does 2100mhz, a feat I have never seen on a 1080Ti. It's also an XP, so even clock for clock I always have a 5% advantage and yet still the 2070S pulls ahead by a good clear margin.

It's a terrible shame Nvidia have been so absolutely vile, tbh. What's upsetting is that I shouldn't be sitting here praising them. The only thing that has changed s**t is AMD releasing the 5700 cards.

£450 for this though is quite the bargain.

I don't know why but a lot of phone cameras seem to blow colours out, I think it's due to over the top internal processing, and glad you're happy with the Super as at the end of the day it don't truly matter if it's Nvidia or AMD as long as it does what you want at the price you want and you're happy.

After that Vega 64 this thing is Disney Land. I could only game for around 2 hours on that card before I was sweating my ass off. Wearing shorts and a Tshirt, with the windows open.

It is a small room (2x3m) but yeah, it was like sitting in front of a iron ore melting pot.

I would surmise the only thing I can do with it is to build a TV gaming rig, sit miles away from it and let it burn itself to death.

I'm not touching any more AMD cards. I feel so rotten saying that, but they are so far behind that they clock balls off their cards turning them into heaters. I wouldn't mind if a block was available for it as I have rads and a pump, but no block exists for the Devil 64.

It's also really, really noisy.

Oh and when I say hot I mean really, really hot. 77c on that enormous great big cooler. It's more ill mannered than stock GTX 480 in SLi. The only thing I remember cooking me like this was my GTX 280 before it died.

Oh nice one man. I like the light bar thing.

Thats the part I dislike the most. Everything else is sweet though. XFX Thic II/III blocks though... definately top of my list of nicest fan coolers on the market at the moment.

And no RGB <3

Hang on, I always thought people claimed the 1080ti was on par with the 2070, not the Super.

It seems they are still saying the same. Especially from when I looked around. Maybe it's just 1080Ti owners trying to stick to what they have for now?

Hmm, both my 1080TI's seem to be happy at 2100mhz core, I wonder how they compare.

Your 1080Tis won't beat my Titan XP. I'll be around 5% faster, and my XP is clocked to the same. In benchmarks alone there's at least 8% between my XP and the 2070s. Bearing in mind the 2070 is on air alone. My XP is about as high as you'll get. I'm actually quite surprised you got 2100, as that's not common on Tis.

But yeah, even balls to the wall the 2070s is a clear winner dude.

I don't know if water would improve clocks. Nor have I pushed my card to crashing point yet either (the 2070). I have 150 on the core, which apparently means I'm a very lucky boy so I didn't want to push my luck.

I have Heatkiller blocks on mine, they stay in the low 40's under full load at +200 core / +600 mem / +20% power limit / +10% voltage bump. But I never game at those settings, those were only for seeing how high I could push the clocks and still survive Time Spy / Fire Strike stress tests. I've never found a game yet that requires GPU OCing at 3440x1440, but I'm also not playing the latest AAA titles either. Still haven't found a reason to upgrade GPUs yet. I plan on getting my money's worth out of my GPUs, LOL!

P.S. rig is looking great man! I feel your pain on taking good pics of red rigs!

Im mega happy with my 1080ti's they clock exceedingly high and the gainward golden sample model in single setup is a true beast.

That said.. I'm still not going to be stupid enough to say it will out perform a 2070super. 2070 maybe.. but super is asking too much.

The more I think about my broken Alienware (my fault :( ) the more I feel bummed out.

I had a bit of an accident with it last week and ended up doing this.

I didn't talk about it because I was too upset. There I had a pristine 2004 Alienware and now it looks like that. Worse still the supports that hold it to the metal side panel all shattered. It's very old and very brittle. So I am going to leave it.

OCUK clearance again. £59.99, what a bargain.

Well I mentioned the desire for ITX in another thread even if it's illogical, but uhm, saw H210I at 60€ (maybe a pricing mistake) so I pulled the trigger on that and a suitable mobo...

This time I'll try and not punch holes to fit my Noctua, so a Dremel is also on the way - for RAM heatsinks in case they interfere with NH-D15.
I wonder if I should buy Black/Blue Chromax and some spray paint for the fans next...

They're in! For the sake of my own sanity, top left mobo screw is missing. But that let me avoid wrestling the middle fan in while it's inside the case.

And there's a white one :)

Yeah I don't think white would have been a great idea. I'm trying to downplay the colour as there's a lot of blue. Which I'm sick of tbh.

It's for the bedroom and white wouldn't look so hot. Plus I got it open box 30% off, so £59 Inc which is cheap case territory. Parts of it are cheap but the parts that matter aren't, if that makes sense. It's also very compact for a EATX case.

Parts of it look real nice though. Front panel is gorgeous and the full cover PSU shroud is class also :)

Looking forward to the build thread!! I have a white Lian Li PC011 XL in the mail as we speak. VERY much looking forward to building in that case, even though YouTube is FULL of builds with this case that we're all probably sick of seeing, LOL!

Well my uncle in Berlin heard of my tax woes and that I had to sell my 2080 Ti for funds so he ordered me a 2080 Ti FE from Nvidia's store and gave me the login info to track the order along with a message "Merry early Christmas nephew and never sell hardware, The pcmr does not approve :p"
