Just got my SFX PSU and couple Noctua redux NF-12 fans. Just waiting on my 970 Evo to come in today as well. Both ordered yesterday morning so only about 30 hour ish turn around time. Not bad!
Now if only the Ncase m1 could come back into stock...

Got my system cloned over to my new 970 Evo. It boots about 5-7 seconds faster and for my development purposes I have shaved off anywhere from 5-20 seconds. Which is nice. Also starting my local server is basically instant as well.
Pretty happy tbh. Runs hot as the sun though. Even my old x2 NVMe drive did as well. These heatsinks really don't do much tbh. Doesn't seem to throttle though. Once I get my new case hopefully with the side mounted fans it should help keep the entire motherboard above the GPU cooler and cooler components last longer, so that is a plus!
Now for faster memory... 2800mhz isn't up to snuff anymore

Something I did not expect, but with this 970 Evo in my system now, just browing on Chrome is noticeably more snappy. Even coming from a x2 NVMe drive.

I don't play FF but I do know a common complaint is loading times, especially on consoles with even slower HDDs and CPUs.

Pulled the trigger on a new guitar. Ibanez RG1070PBZ PREMIUM in Cerulean Blue
Looks awesome, loving that colour.
Good luck with the bridge, double locking trems can be a PITA
Yeah I have one on my EDR470. I guess its a necessary evil sometimes. But looking forward to this one arriving!

Just so you know, there are issues with that and Destiny2. not sure if its fixed yet.

No just the CPU, My 5700XT didn't perform well, The blower fan was dead on arrival and to be honest the 1080 Ti in my HTPC is still noticeably faster than the 5700XT so I swapped it into my main rig and then put a 780 Ti F.E, Which I got for cheap, Into my HTPC.
As for Destiny 2, I still have my 2700X so until that issue is sorted I'll keep the 3900X in the box

Nice one dude, just got my own 3700X the other day and went with an X470 Strix board with it. As just like you, I followed Tom's advice in his video regarding X470 and that X570 is more or less pointless for most users.

My daughter recently has found joy in holding the home phone to her ear and shouting "Hello Dad" but apparently this time she decided to wrap the phone in her blanket.
When my partner picked the blanket up to shake it out she hadn't realised the phone was in there so the phone was propelled in to the TV screen.
Seems suss but I'm getting a much better TV out of it so.....
