Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

So the 1080 Ti I was borrowing from a mate of mine is going back tomorrow to him so I decided to sell off a box of electronics I had with various unused Corsair HDRGB fans, H110i GT AIO, Spare unopened Corsair and ROG mice and lots of other stuff.

Got around £200 all in all so put an extra £270 towards it and ordered myself the on offer brand new Asus Strix Vega 64 OC.

I have zero problems getting less performance than a 1080 Ti if it means not supporting Nvidia and their greed.

Enjoy it mate, I'm absolutely loving mine. Coupled with FreeSync is incredible

PC Part's etc are hold for a while.

I have been after a new car for a while now and saw this last night, and got it this morning :D

It's really nice to drive, got a turn of speed on it and it's got abit of noise although that needs working on

Stereo need's some work as currently no hands free or audio streaming but I am thinking of getting one of the Android head unit's for it, and already looking at replacing the silver outlined grills with solid black ones and replacing the silver 16" alloy's with some 17" or 18" solid black ones.

It's a 2011 BMW 320D

Welcome to the club :)

Thank's

It's been pretty funny the last couple of day's, people that I know and are use to me having bangers and some women who looked at me as not worth there time are all now paying attention

Was out driving around last night and had a very weird experience that has never happened before.

I was behind a car, that was 20 on a 30 road, I wasn't driving stupid or anything but they pulled over and waved me past, but when I have had someone doing that in the past, in my past car's they have never pulled over and let me past.

I am 100% getting a dash cam though, because it's funny how many people round where I live think that all BMW drivers want to race :D even though I am just out for a chilled drive.

Been looking at some mod's though, and ouch it's going to get expensive very quickly all prices are rough estimates without speaking to anyone.

Wheel's and Tires £900 - £1500

Head unit and speakers £700 - £1000

Exhaust a proper one not some generic one £400 - £1800

New brake system £1000

New suspension system £1500

M-Sport body kit and other bit's £800 - £1200 fitted

Economy remap because it still increases performance from 163BHP to over 200BHP £450

Now I am going to be keeping the car for quite a few years so I don't mind spending money on decent parts, but going to have to save for it.

Going to also get someone to come out and give it a proper valet, found a guy near me that charges £100 and he will come to your house and do it on the driveway and spends around 8 - 12 hours on it, and I saw my friends car next door after he had it done and it was a night and day difference so 100% worth it.

Yeah people do behave weird when you're in a BMW on the road.

For that much money I'd rather just save up and get the superior 3L diesel, just my opinion :)

Bear in mind, that adding all that will ramp up your insurance and destroy your resale value. Unless you put all the original parts back on it. No one likes to see such things on a car when they buy it usually,

1. gives the impression that the car has been hammered from A to B everyday (even if you are a sunday driver)

2. Body kits are personal, might not be to the liking of the next person.

3. People may go back to not pulling over and waving you passed :D

But honestly do you really need all that? I would have preferred to invest that cash in a better BMW model. Coming from someone who worked as a mechanic in a body shop, extreme modding can lead to far worse fuel efficiency and horrible driving experience, just for that "whoosh" on a turbo drop valve, or that extra speed round a bend.

I remember dropping my Audi low with some sport suspension. Was fun at first, but then slowing down to 5mph to navigate over speed bumbs got tedious :D Mainly because the body kit I had, was a really low. Ah well, the things we do when we are 18yrs old.

Just depends if you want form over function.

...holy hell I rambled on a bit there :O

To be fair - most of these modifications are pretty standard in the BMW UK scene and I don't think the non-reversible mod would affect the resale all that too badly. But I agree about getting a better model.

Yeah it could be since I was moving cars on almost a daily basis. The enthusiasts always wanted things original, so body kits, spoilers (and boot replacement since people couldnt resist bolting them >.<), dropped suspension etc all had to go. That is where we made money. Removing mods and installing original/refurb parts. It was all about restoration.

One thing I am glad at, is even in Norway, the Fast and furious craze of car modding is long dead. Now you can buy a car that looks stock, even with original sound system.

The stuff I am thinking of doing doesn't need to be done, to be honest nothing need's to be done to it, as it's perfectly fine as it is, it's just got some things personally I would like to change.

I probably won't end up doing them but will have to have a think about them.

Yeah nowadays for things like body kits it's more about fitting OEM kits that came on with the performance pack that the car didn't originally have etc. Rather than the panty dropping days of Max Power.

They were good old times, as a teenager going to car parks and looking at all the cars :D

My Nexus 5X was starting to show heavy signs of age, so I upgraded to the OnePlus 6. I was waiting for the 6T initially because of the smaller notch, but when I found out that it won't include a headphone jack, I immediately jumped on the 6 instead. Don't feel like fiddling with dongles which I will inevitably break. Plus, I watch Netflix while charging all the time, especially now that I have Dash Charge.

Bigger battery be damned, the OP6 gets me 7+ hours of screen on time, and it charges from 0 to 70% in like 30 minutes. Not too bothered by the lack of an on-screen fingerprint scanner, either. Got the silk white one with a red case for obvious reasons.

I've been benchmarking and testing this phone in work. Outstanding performer so far. Very impressed. I might even order one myself once my contract allows.

Yeah, it's a beast. It seems to hit all the boxes for me so far. Even the camera, which people love to complain about, is very capable in my opinion. Especially if you know how to process RAW files. Take this picture of a random paprika I found in my garden.

Nice to see you around Average:)

Yeah good to see you kiddo.

Cheers fellas :)

Enjoy it mate. I upgraded from my ancient Nexus 5 to the OnePlus 6 and I absolutely love it. Performance is top notch, camera is spot on and the battery lasts me 2-3 days at a time. It is genuinely one of the best phones on the market right now especially when taking price/performance into account

It's one of the best I have tested. And I have tested nearly every thing on the market, including those not released yet.

Down right top notch phone. It's price is definately worth it.

I wanted the One Plus 6 but I can't get it with my carrier so I ended up with a Pixel 2 XL. Much more expensive!
