Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Yeah phone prices are just ridiculous now. Apple even managed to price themselves out of the market. Iphone X will not return with a refresh. Confirmed by my colleague who is the company apple engineer. £1100 for a phone....

The asian phones are the go to ones imo. Huawei, LG, etc. Still costly, but cheaper and best of all has no bloatware like the top brands. wouldn't it be great if new regulations came in to cap what you were allowed to charge on the phone :D we dont need half the gimmicks they add. Retina scanners that dont work in bright sun, fingerprint scanners that dont work if you work in trade or play a guitar, etc etc. Most of its pointless yet we still want it. Makes no sense to me.

All i want as far as tech goes, is for the bluetooth codec aptX or aptx HD to become license free. Then I can make my shure 846 wireless! Sadly qualcomm are greedy and charge too much for licensing it.

Well I did go a little over budget on the case...

I got it half price for £30. It is proper genuine leather though and I have learned over time that it's the best. I paid £50 for the Tuff Luv leather case for my Passport (BB not actual haha) and it looks better now than when I got it.

i have one wallet for money cards and cash, and a slimline case for my phone.

lose one and you'll still have the other.
it is much harder to lose two valuable items at the same time than one.

Oh I won't be putting cards or cash in there. That is separate. It's just such a enormous device (it's bigger than a S9) that it needs a heffer case lol.

Just got this. Now I can actually use GSync with my 1080 vs using my freesync monitor with a 1080. Got it like $150 off what it normally goes on and only a few months old.

A samsung C27HG70 to replace one of my very old 24" wide gamut panels.

It is a frankly ridiculous difference in responsiveness between them. The lag on the old dell is biblical. (64ms)

I waited for the embargo to lift on the OnePlus 6 before buying the S9. The reviews were amazing, but the lack of contracts (I don't have €580 right now), no water proofing, and no stereo speakers coerced my hand to the more expensive (in the long run) S9. I would also have bought the Huawei P20 as it's very good value considering and has a superior battery life, but that doesn't have a headphone jack or stereo speakers either. I could live without the stereo speakers or just the headphone jack, but not both.

Aye that's fair enough. The OnePlus 6 has splash proof water resistance like rain (Which is more than enough for me) but granted, I remember the S9 advert of a guy dropping it in the sink.

I'm in the same boat about the speakers and headphones, I don't particularly care about speakers since I never use them, headphone jack is a total must. The OP6 not having one would be a complete deal breaker for me.

The lack of contracts is quite annoying (Can only get it on O2 here, been there.. sod that!) but again, not a problem for me since I've gotta get it SIM free since I'll be rooting and ROMing it first chance I get.

Oh well, £200 left and I'll have one

I've been tempted to root my phones from time to time, but in general I find myself contented with the stock Android experience and the UI from each respective manufacturer—even Samsung. HTC have always had a relatively 'thin' skin, and I've had no qualms with it—Samsung's is a little bloated though. However with my favourite launcher and a few weeks tweaking different designs, I'm happy.

The benefit of rooting my S9 would be to improve battery life. Anandtech released an article that went viral about how Europe only received Xynos 9810 chips made by Samsung and not the Snapdragon 845 made by Qualcomm in their S9s. From their tests, not only was the 9810 slower but it consumed more power. Considering the meagre battery capacity of the S9, Samsung should not have used the 9810 in that device or should have increased the battery size—or even dropped the price for Europeans to reflect the weaker performance. But as usual Americans get all the good stuff while the rest of the world pays more for less. Anyway, with a custom ROM you can tweak the processor to improve battery life by around 20%.

But even then it wouldn't be worth it for a guy like me. Quick charging is brilliant, as is wireless charging. Once they were introduced, I stopped caring about battery life. If I'm out and about, I carry my charger with me. If I anticipate my phone won't last, I stop at a coffee shop and charge it for ten minutes. That'll be enough to get home. Job done. Portable battery packs are available as well. If I were an avid phone user and always on the go, I'd definitely not buy the S9—I'd buy the S9 Plus or the Huawei P20 Plus—but I'm neither so I'm fine with charging the phone once or even twice in a day.

Loved the cans. Always wanted the all black edition though. They just look really good.
Still have them. All boxed up though. I have the Amiron cans now

I needed something that can deliver some epic tunes, my Astro stereo headset isnt terrible but i find headsets seriously lacking in quality of sound and how loud they can go. i will keep using the Astro for gaming calls as its fine, but late night movies, music and singleplayer games, yeah those will probably blow me away.

This could be very interesting, or, very boring.

I've basically bought that, frame only. Why? well, this is a lesson in why you never EVER throw away a BMX before you find out what it is. It's a Standard STA (Stronger Than All) and it was made in the late 90s. These are hand made frames made in the USA. They're expensive too (about £500 BITD). They were so strong I used to have one back in 1998.

It cost me nearly two grand. So the frame I bought is pretty much the same. I got it stupid cheap, but there is a reason.

Somebody either decided to cut off the brake lugs and ride sans brakes or one broke and he cut them. The cable stop on the downtube is cut off too. So that is basically why I got it cheap. However, it will still take a "normal" brake and Standard made a few (small handful) just like it.

I have not decided what colour yet. It will need to be repainted, after I take it to a pal with a 2" belt sander and we remove the remnants of the brake.

I also bought a plain billet chain ring.

Which my friend is going to machine for me so it looks a bit like this.

Which is a Graveyard sprocket made in the 90s. They fetch around $200 used, because the guy who made them (and a few other bits he did in his house) died. So I am doing mine as a tribute to him, one of the best flatland riders ever.

Went a bit mad. Well, sorta. Firstly I got these.

I know I know, I said I wasn't gonna but last week I ordered a 100ml choco Donuts for £19.99 and it didn't arrive. When I asked them they said that they were no longer selling it in 100ml. I asked what they were selling it in, he says 50ml. "OK *hang up*".

Go online. 50ml Choco Donuts by Marina Vape - £14.99. Excuse me but what now? £30 for 100ml? are you having a bubble? shove it !

So I was even more determined to mix my own. However, in the several years I have been vaping (about 6) Choco Donuts is by far THE best liquid I have ever tasted. Ever. Through hundreds of different flavours. So I found some for £17.99 elsewhere and ordered it. Couldn't get any Marshmallow Man ('cause that has been rationed too, £4 for 10ml !) so I got the waffles instead.

OK moving on then.

2012 Stolen Score. Apparently brand new, price was £199 inc. They were £500 originally, and the wheels would set you back £300 if you had them made.

It's not another bike, BTW. It is a donor bike for the Standard frame I just bought. I almost feel bad ripping it apart, but needs must. I will sell the frame on.

lol Alien, you have the taste palate of a 6 yr old! :D

hahaha. I have a sweet tooth mate. I don't drink, see. Or take recreational drugs or smoke cigarettes. So what does that leave? well, sweet things I guess.

It's not so much the fact that the liquid is chocolate donuts. It is just how intense the flavour is. It just absolutely bombards your senses and smashes them.

In the UK there are little donut huts at the beach. They make them right in front of you. First the machine does its impersonation of a dog taking a turd, then they are dropped into peanut oil and fried, then they come along a little conveyor belt straight into the bag.

Dude, I would try to explain how they taste but there are no words. They are, quite seriously, orgasmic. And my local place puts liquid chocolate on them if you want it. That yummy, greasy peanut flavour OMG.

So this liquid literally tastes *exactly* like that. Which brings on happy emotions and everything haha.

Without going into a heated debate. This is what SPS and I were trying to emphasise. In public, something like this that you love, wouldnt be pleasant for others.

On average though, How much do these flavours cost someone per month? They seem pretty expensive and dont last that long from the sound of it.
