Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

I'm pre diabetic, so I need to avoid sugar as much as I can. And I do. All sugar free drinks etc. My problem has been sugar, mostly sweets (which I haven't bought for ages). The pop tarts are there as meal replacements in case I CBA. So like breakfast or supper. And yeah, they're not very healthy but they are convenient.

My problem has changed though. I have pretty much dropped the sweets and chocolate, but now I am eating too much. Not bad stuff, just too much of it. For example lean veal mince spag bol. Yet I cook too much spaghetti and then eat it all.. It's hard cooking for one, I just need some practice at it and learn to reduce the portion. Cooking pasta and spaghetti for example is tough, because it looks like you're not cooking enough. Then it cooks, and you've got a mountain and I hate waste and throwing stuff away.

Most of why this has happened is the meds. Quetiapine and Pregabalin (look up the side effects) are a nightmare for this. I used to be 13st, now I am almost 18. I am more active now though, which is good.

My worst vice is drinks. I love sweet drinks/pop/soda etc. However, I never drink anything with sugar in now.

Edit. Also note that was an order from the American Sweets co. The shipping is £7, so ordering anything less than £35 is a false economy. That stuff will last me a month or more.

If you're pre diabetic the worst thing for you are fats and trans fat as the body converts these to complex sugars, just remember the old saying all things in moderation and you'll do fine.

Well another problem for me is that I do not like breakfast. I usually feel sick in the mornings and never eat unless I am hung over (not drank alcohol for over ten years) or starving.

So I eat a big dinner and that is it. One meal. Problem is I over eat.

It won't be as bad now I am single because I am not cooking for two any more (my ex has a gastric band so eats about three mouthfuls then used to get stuck) so I would eat hers too.

Sometimes I have a bowl of cereal or a sandwich before bed...

I don't eat bad, just too much.

Oh yeah, I also gave up smoking about four years ago and piled on weight because of that too.

hmm bit worrying that. Eating a big dinner is quite a bad idea. My dad did the same, smoked, skipped breakfast, made up for it with a big dinner instead of moderating the quantities, and then eating before bed. (also worst ever time of day to eat, your body metabolism drops while slumbering)

Lets just say hes not with us today, for those very reasons. It's your life of course, but strongly suggest you kick this habit. Luckily you have your bikes to assist you with keeping your system active and working hard.

It wasn't because I smoked. Even when I was a kid I never ate breakfast. It's more of an autistic thing, I just don't have any appetite in the morning.

I'm taking Statins though. My cholesterol before I started these pills I take was 3.1. It went up to over 6.9 and I had to take statins. It's now back down to 3.2.

I don't expect to live very long any way tbh. My dad died when he was 35. I do go for blood tests regularly though (you have to with these pills). And everything is being monitored.

TBH mate I am more of the opinion that when your time is up your time is up, no matter how old or well you look after yourself (well, unless you end up at 40 stone of course). But even then some people live far longer than they should.

I've never really been a drinker, and I don't smoke any more. So I've done what I can, ain't gonna spend my life trying to change who I am.

Big problem for me is once I start eating I can not stop until I feel full. And that is all, 100% the tablets I take. They make you feel like you haven't eaten for a week. I was never really a big eater before.

But what do I do? stop taking them and lose weight (and get my IBS back which was truly awful, these pills help with that as they calm the nervous system) and then go around the bend mad out of my tree? or do I just accept things for how they are and not care?

One of the members on here (ain't gonna mention any names) has known me a long bloody time. 15 years or more. And he has seen me without any meds and trust me, it's really not a pretty sight.

I would rather lose 20 years off my life that make those around me have to suffer my condition/s.

TBH? that is why my wife and I split a month ago. She decided that her pills made her feel nauseous and stopped taking them. What she became? yeah, I wouldn't serve that to my dog. She's completely lost the plot.

I've always had a bad habit of eating before bed. A small bowl of muesli is usually what I go for. Even though it's not a large bowl, sometimes I don't need it. I'm not overweight (any more) and I was only slightly overweight when I was. When I became vegetarian I kicked a lot of animal products like butter and cream (though I don't eat a small amount of them), and processed sugars. I also decreased my portion sizes and stopped gorging. I lost weight and although I still eat before bed and don't exercise, I'm doing OK.

Well I ain't having the best of mornings. Woke up at 5:30, couldn't get back to sleep. Around 8 AM my rig froze and the music stopped. Got a BSOD with a Watchdog error but it wouldn't even count up the % it was just stuck at 0%. Rebooted the rig and it froze during the RAID init on my OCZ Revodrive that I bought refurb about five years ago for £40. Took it out rig worked fine (no Windows though obs). Put it back in, froze again on the RAID init. Can't access the bios on the card so can't get into an OS with it or anything.

So very, very begrudgingly.

All of my SATA channels are in use. So that was the trade off. Cost me £5.50 for the adapter.

You going to get a passive cooler for it or already got one?

Also got another ML120 to sit in the front of my rig so I can get cool air pumped in alongside the air that's gone through my radiator, as well as the OST to my favorite game of all time which cost me an arm and a leg (As far as CD's go at least)

It shouldn't need one fella it's not NVME. It's just a M.2 M-B card. 540 odd RW etc nothing exciting.

After having an Asus RAIDR and four 60gb Corsair Force SSDs in RAID 0 I realised that the extra speed (and the four 60gb used to do a tb per sec RW) didn't really notice IRL.

The rig it's going in isn't exactly blazingly fast either, so it should be more than enough as it is.

Well I sold my Beyerdynamic 880 Premium + 990 Premium as they have the exact same sound signature as my 880 Pro + 990 Pro, I asked Beyerdynamic themselves and they confirmed that they use the exact same internal components, Just aesthetic differences, So, With the money from those I put it towards the Beyerdynamic 1770 Pro 250 Ohm, Will be here in a few days, Then I will have the 250 ohm versions of the 770 Pro, 880 Pro, 990 Pro and 1770 Pro with the 1990 Pro being a purchase for Christmas for myself :)

You sure do love your Beyers... Lol

They do use the exact same stuff but the Pros have more clamping pressure and a coiled cable. The extra pressure gives a slightly more tight bass and the cable is well.. heavier :p
With that said, the extra bass is barely enough to notice.

You should have gotten the 1990s or the Amiron. I think you would have liked them better for gaming and music

I felt like making a behemoth build. Decided to give this case a go.

Yes it is from Thermal Take. I don't care what people say, I saw it up close and it was pretty nice. Its stripped of many useless features that get slapped in a case. Basically a blank canvass which I can completely strip if I want without breaking a single Rivet.

Man can never have enough headphones :D

Words I live by everyday ^_^

On a separate note I honestly couldn't resist any longer, I loved the immersive experience I had playing Alien Isolation, Eve Valkyrie etc... and at the price of £399 with free shipping I thought the price was now right to take the plunge, Comes with the headset, 2 x sensors, Touch controllers, 2nd gen XB1 controller, XB1 wireless dongle and quite a few free games like Robo Recall etc...

Argh you git you just reminded me I still have an incomplete Tamiya Lamborghini Countach.

I thought "It will be much simpler to build than my Schumacher Cougar !" bugger me how wrong I was. Thing is a nightmare. I'm about 80% through, might have to dig that out later :)
