I can't exactly post a picture of this but I finally insured myself as a driver. Until I pass my test in a few months time (hopefully), I do have to have a licensed driver with me, but I can drive! I have a disability and I haven't been able to drive for many years, but I've finally bit the bullet and pushed myself. Everything has been going well so far. Insurance on a named driver (my mother) has been significantly cheaper than if I had insurance on my own. Solo insurance could be €3000 or more while I'm paying €540 now. It'll go down once I pass my test as well.

I'm stoked. 28 and finally learning to drive.

Well done dude! Driving will be liberating for your independence, my partner learned that herself when she got her licence.

You will really struggle to find a set of NC cans that got 4 stars on WHF for less.

They've got them in white and red, titanium and pink too. Same price.

However whilst most of them retailed for £279 the gold ones were limited edition and ran over £300. So that's a pretty hefty saving and hey, I like a bit of bass with my music.

I'm the guy who basically sits there listening to bass CDs on his cans

Going to get a new amp to replace my Little Dot too. Third one I have had now that's packed up on a channel and only worked if you move the valves around.

Hoping to get a step up from that, got a couple of plans but will see what's available Friday

OK so looked at my order. It had gone from pre order to out of stock/item unavailable. No change in shipping though so I cancelled it and ordered these, which are in stock.

Saying that though I never buy audio gear for looks, always the sound. Doubt I will wear them out though....

There seems to be a large amount of these on Ebay. I offered £140, offer accepted.

I know it's nowhere near as good as CV1, but, couple of things. Firstly I don't think my Titan XM would be able to drive CV1 to its full potential (would need at least a 1080 for that) and secondly £140.

I feel very comfortable at that price. Even if I just use it a few times and find it's not for me it's far less than £600+.

Time to start VR benching on the typhoon lol.

Yeah, not being able to pop into town for small things like getting a hair cut or to go see a film is really starting to get to me. If I run out of beer and have a craving for a nice craft brew, jump in the car on a Friday evening and head to the nearest town. Done. If I have a psychology appointment, hop in the car and it's done. In the past I had to plan around everyone else. When I pass my test I'll have so much more freedom, even if I still won't be able to use the car very much due to it being used by my mother for work. I'm still likely to be a loner staying at home anyway, but at least I'll have the freedom to be able to move around when I need to.

So I grabbed an Asus Tuf Mark 1 at my local B&M and fought it for 2 days trying to get it working all along thinking my cpu was a dud due to artifacting and lack of display even thru IGPU finally borrowed a buddies 6600 and had the exact same issues so confirmed bad mobo returned it for the MSI Z270 Gaming M7 thats in the pics now.

It's kind of prophetic really because I bought them because they were noise cancelling and I'd never had a pair of those. Got the builders in atm nextdoor ripping out walls drilling banging etc so my open cans are useless. Any way, turns out I will need to use my main rig for VR and it's so god damned noisy. I really can't believe I used to have it up on my main desk.

My wife walked into the room last night (I left it updating whilst we ate dinner) and she said "What the **** is that bloody noise?"

I had to explain it was my big powerful rig and the fans were really noisy. So yeah, don't care if they are pink with polka dots tbh (now there's an idea ! )

Always liked pink. Never been homophobic really (paranoid when I was younger but that has passed) so I have always worn pink Tshirts etc.

Yeah I had neon everything back in the 80s man. Neon socks, hats, Tshirts etc.

In the early 90s I had this badass Global Hypercolour Tshirt that changed from purple to pink when you got warm. Used to wear it to raves, looked unreal under a black light

I suppose the good thing is that they are pink, but they are not like a girly pink they're really bright.

Jokes aside I won't wear them out. I have two pairs of headphones dedicated to going out already
