Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

They are basically HD598's with a mic and I really like my original 598's but my stores are out of them so went with these and the reviews I've seen and read they rate really well

These look tempting. I am so disappointed with my Corsair Void. The mic is the worst ive ever known and audio (being subjective) is not very good imo, guess you get what you paid for in the end...

There are very few headsets with the true, proper audio quality of a decent set of headphones. They are mostly made for g4m3r5 and thus are a rip off.

A decent mic starts at around £40 (Snowball) and then just add headphones. I used to use all manner of headsets with supposed decent sound quality but every time I took them off and put my headphones on I could tell the different immediately.

So I invested into a decent mic, then I never had to buy another headset again.

This right here, Although the Voids do need a bit of breaking in, They didn't sound all that good at first but after a month of use they really opened up.

To make sure it wasn't a placebo I tested a workmates pair of brand new Voids, Sounded completely different to mine, After a month of use his sound exactly like mine.

The mic isn't all that bad, It's fine for online play, If you want better as AlienALX said you have to go the standalone route.

Well my issue is the Mic even when set to max in windows config and cue config is too low and people dont hear me on discord/TS/ingame/mumble etc. This to me is a design flaw as it seems to be a popular issue.

I dont use the mic enough to constitute purchasing a standalone one but when I do use one, i want the damn thing to work.

My snowball is awesome (as is the Yeti) you won't go wrong with either. I can put it literally anywhere on my desk and I still get compliments in Skype on how much better I sound.

Got one of these for the bike.

So my Sennheiser Game Ones arrived today and OMFG they sound Amazing......BUT the comfort level is something else, for an unbroken in headset they don't squeeze your head and I wear glasses and can put these on without pain and that in itself is worth the money paid
Highly recommended so far peeps!

I know what you mean, I too wear glasses and the Senns are a pure delight to have on your head even for long gaming sessions.

How to put this without being rude... I have a fat head. Like 59-60cm circumference so I'd be interested to know what size yours is in comparison. My HyperX Fury's are at max stretch to get over my ears (but awesome for the price) and these ones look pretty sweet.
Cheers

Definitely going to consider these now..
I have glasses so i'm extremely picky(as you know how it is) with headsets/phones.

I have a 57cm head and they have miles or room to go and NBD you wont be disappointed BUT I'm doing a gaming session tonight and I will let you know how they are after a long session

Gamed for 4 hours straight and these headphones just didn't hurt once nor did my ears get hot and sweaty so glad I bought them

I got the Sennheiser headset before, after hearing a guy on TS, which was in the same gaming community I was in back then. I was blown away of how crisp he sounded on TS, so I asked him which headset he used and he mentioned these Sennheiser's.

So I got it, which then was bundled with an ASUS Xonar soundcard, do unfortunately not remember which exact headset it was nor the sound card.

I can not say anything about how good the audio quality was, as I don't enough knowledge of sound engineering and sound quality of headsets to make that evaluation of the headset. But knowing Sennheiser, they were good.

One thing I personally thought they lacked a lot in those headsets were the base. Music sounded terrible with them, since no base.

Lastly, the headset itself were comfy. Although, I felt like the ear cups were way too large for my ears and too short in depth, so my ears would start to touch the inside of the earcup and after few hours, my ear tips got quite sore and irritated.

Sure, for the price you pay, you really get what you pay for in terms of real premium sound quality. Everyone I've talked to has said this and every review I've read the same. But for me, the price and knowing the comfort as mentioned above and base... It didn't live up to my hopes and expectations unfortunately.
