That looks nice in white, think I'm catching Tom's white fetish
White can look nice and clean just don't do too much of it otherwise it can look as bad as anything else, A white highlight here and there is nice though

Very nice![]()
hahaha that case will push you to the limits. I gave mine away. Looks a ton better in white though I have to say.
I've gone off of adaptive Vsync tbh. At lower FPS it really just made everything feel a bit weird. Can't put my finger on it as it wasn't quite stutter it just didn't feel smooth.
Mind you with any luck there will be a Freesync hack as I know my DP is capable of it![]()
Adaptive V-Sync ? You've switched to Nvidia ?
G-Sync and Freesync are forms of adaptive vsync dude.
I was using G-sync and whilst it kept stuttering down it just felt weird. Kinda, erm, 'drunk'?
No I know what Adaptive Vsync is.
Gaming feels much better without it. I'm using regular Vsync to get rid of tearing and god dude, even at 35 FPS Witcher 3 feels absolutely bang on. No stutter at all.
I don't think I'm going to buy another card now. I just really don't want the hassles that multi GPUs bring.
You've lost me ^_^
How were you using Adaptive V-Sync when you have a Fury X ?
I'm not using adaptive Vsync dude you've got your wires crossed..
I have a 4k Gsync monitor so I was using Gsync with my Titan Blacks. And whilst it smoothed out the stutter it just felt like I was drunk. I can't put my finger on it but the game did not feel smooth and was kinda jerky.
So now I am using regular old Vsync and at the same sort of FPS the game is totally smooth and much more playable.
So in short? I am not sold on Gsync/Freesync. Whilst they do help to alleviate stutter when there are big FPS drops they make the game feel strange.

If the Fury X could not cope with 4k I would likely have downgraded. But it does cope, more than well enough.
To me a game can be smooth and does not need to run at 60 FPS. Let's face it, 95% of all PC games are second hand code so were never designed to be ran at 60 FPS any way. The target would have been anything above 27.6 FPS which is good old research from Edison..
So yeah, as long as a game is smooth I really don't care dude. And with SLI and Gsync it totally wasn't smooth. Well it was smooth but it felt odd.
Now? well right now I am playing Witcher 3 at 35-45 FPS. However there are no major drops or any stutter at all. How can I complain when the game is playable? I mean, it's a RPG of sorts so you don't need to react at a hundred miles an hour to ride around on a horse speaking to people.
Then there's the action game I play currently, GTAV. And that runs anywhere between 45 and 60 FPS (the cap) and feels as smooth as butter.
I was sold on 4k before, but, as we know the Fury X and 980ti out perform a pair of Titan Blacks by a good 10% which at 4k is not to be sniffed at.
So I'm happy dude. Very, very happy. Games are all perfectly smooth and perfectly playable even at high settings (GTAV is maxed apart from the pointless advanced crap, and Witcher 3 all high no MSAA where as with two TBs I had to settle for medium and it felt very strange).
The next game for me is Fallout 4, and again, who cares about 200 FPS? All I will do is press RB and bring up VATS, then calmly make a decision as to what part of said toss pot I want to shoot, blow up or remove.
And it runs on the Skyrim engine, so it will be mincemeat for my Fury X.
Honestly? no game stimulates my senses like Fallout does. Fallout 3 was the best game ever and once I got a taste for it everything else I have played since just feels kinda lame. It wasn't just the game with Fallout 3 that was spot on either. The whole unthinkable scene, the objects and people you interact with.. God I could go on all day. I played it for closing in on three years. Mods were awesome, as were some of the third party quests.
I have big emotions riding on Fallout 4 and I know Bethesda will deliver, so really that only leaves a couple of other games that will even get my time (NFS and ME2).
And as I say the Fury X should make mincemeat of the aging Skyrim engine.
Yeah I kinda know that bud but G-Sync and Freesync are both Adaptive Sync NOT Adaptive V-Sync
Adaptive V-Sync is an Nvidia only feature Nvidia introduced in their drivers in early 2012 which literally turns V-Sync on/off very quickly to stop tearing and doesn't require a special monitor, Quite a useful feature but also quite different to actual Adaptive Sync tech such as Freesync or G-Sync hence my question
Fallout 3 done properly takes weeks if not months dude. Like, to actually work out and finish every quest and all of the DLC.
New Vegas was fun. Really good fun, but, it's kinda like a Weight Watchers version of Fallout 3. Whilst it looks similar and has a great story there's not much to it when you scratch below the surface. The story though is fantastic and the endings are great too, but try to explore busted up old buildings and you find out they're all just pixels and you can't go in and explore.
Fallout 3 had numerous buildings there for you to enter and explore. The Dunwich Building for example? there was a good few hours just in that one building.
Ugh, I've never wished my life away but god damn I want FO4 to come out![]()
I'm starting to think that Linus is taking over this forum![]()
