Got one of these on Amazons birthday bash. Was reduced from £380 to £269. No brainer really for me as I was looking for a large SSD to replace my 128GB 840 Pro I picked up a few years ago.

It's excellent, very fast.

That is an awesome price, Those were touching £500 when they first came out

Yeah I remember them being quite pricey. I was going to buy a Samsung 951 512GB Stick instead but then I read I couldn't boot my operating system off it using my RIVE motherboard even when using a PCIe to M.2 adapter card so that killed that idea. I wanted it for the 2GB/s read and 1.5GB/s write speeds. That would have cost about £260 with the adapter so this cost about the same for twice the storage and it came up at the right time.

I think when I go X109 or whatever the next enthusiast platform is after X99 is done I'll go M.2 for my boot SSD and keep this for games and apps. Probably between 1 and 2 years away from the next platform though.
