post 1, Question 1

I have been given a choice of 1 of 3 cases. My choices are, a new Obsidian 800D, a new Xigmatech Elysium or a new RV02-EW. All as new, just played with for my Boss's sons college review magazine review section. I am not a water cooler kinda guy, I have a new H80 and that's as far as I'll go with water. I have just the one GTX580 and a Z68-UD5 mobo. 2 x hard drives and thats about it. Trouble is I like them all on paper and I like them all in pictures. The unusual whiteness of the RV02 and the heavy industrial look of the other 2. Was hoping that you may be able to shed some more hands on pointers to help me choose.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Have you looked at toms reviews for those cases? I would say either the RV02 or the Elysium because the 800D is supposed to be a bit of a hotbox if your not fully water cooling, since your using a h80 I don't know what sort of temps you would get on the 580.

Thanks for the reply :-)

I have now watched Tom's reviews. I think the 800D is out of the loop for me. Would be the wise choice if I wanted to go full water only I feel. Seems both the RV02 and the Xigmatek are fantastic cases. I couldn't be left with 2 more different cases though to choose from.

Is it only these cases you can choose from, or can you choose from other cases in that price range?

It's just those cases I can choose from. Like I said, they are all as new. I like the "look" of the corsair and the quality of the build but it does seem to pick up negative comments when air is the topic of discussion. I could just buy myself a new case, I am in the market for one and have a budget of up to £230 ish. What would you suggest?

Silverstone. forget the others they are pointless for that rig.

Thanks for your help. The more I read about the Silverstone's the more it makes sense for me with my kit. Only thing is now, he has thrown a SilverStone Fortress FT02R-WRI into the mix but I would have to contribute £80.

Is it worth it over the RV02-EW?
