just out of pure interest, i was wondering if it is theoretically possible to sli a normal gtx560ti with a gtx560ti 448 core?

no I believe the "448" refers to it having 448 "Cores" in the GPU and the regular one doesnt have 448 cores in the GPU so they're different chips so you can't SLI them, that's just my common sense maybe you can someone else might know

nope, as said above, the 560ti and 560ti 448 have different amount of hardware cores, and since SLI needs exactly identical cards, no you cant

modded drivers are required for that to work and there has to be very similar gpu's for this to work,

so far the only 2 ive seen is the one above and a 460 and 560ti

you must have IDENTICAL cards for SLI (unlike crossfire)

le sigh, soooooooo much wrong in this post(you should know better tbh)

@OP:the 448 is basically a 570 to intents and purposes, and there are ways to get it to wotk(even on no sli boards)but tbh,its probably not worth the effort to do,not only do you have to deal with games that do not like sli,you also have to use modded/old drivers which can cause headaches on their own,and also you may get new bugs/glitches because the cards do not match(which means your options for getting help are minuscule),It can be done easy enough, but tbh its just not worth the potential hassle

unless you mod-flash the GPU BIOS's on both cards, normal Nvidia cards will only work with like cards for SLI-ing

EG:

a 560 and a 560ti will not work

a 560ti and a 560(448) will not work

some non-reference/non-same_manufacturer will not work, even if they are the same on spec

do not assume everyone knows everything, and remember that if they knew what they were doing... they would not be asking for help!

as a good rule-of-thumb, always buy same_vendor/same_version GPUs.................. it will save you pulling out your hair

No,you are missing the point, you do not need to mod flash the bios, there are various ways around that, but its not worth the hassle
