Positive airpressure

Hi all

Hope you can help me 😄

I have a fractal design case can't remember model. I am moving my setup from a bitfenix colousus to this .

In the fractal I can mount:
2 120 fans in the front
1 140 buttom
1 120 back
2 120 or 140 in the top

If I use the top to mount my corsair h100i as exhaust and the back also as exhaust will the front and buttom be enough to keep as positive airpressure.

Hope to here what your thoughts are

Should be, although I personally don't like bottom fans so I'd remove that and then swap the rear fan around so it becomes an intake. You can get magnetic dust filters for like 3 quid :)

The only thing you need to remember with the pressures is:

Positive Air Pressure = More air going in than going out. (Less dust)

Negative Air Pressure = Less air going in, more air going out, (essentially being sucked out creating More dust).

Equal Air Pressure = The same going in as going out. (Dust)

So in conclusion pay attention to the CFM of your fans as well as the sizes. Also be sure to do as Feronix said and filter all intakes. ;)

I really need to do a guide for this..

+1 This

I don't understand why case makers put mounts in the bottom of cases for fans it just doesn't make any sense to me

If the case come with a dust filter for the bottom fan mount, then I see no issues with fitting on there.

Used to rock a Silverstone FT02. I had it for a couple of years and never had to clean out the internals. I did however clean the bottom dust filters once every 3 months or so. The frequence will of course depend on the amount of dust in the house/room, so general good cleaning habits will go a long way.
