Poison Ivy - NZXT Switch 810 Gaming Rig

apart from killing the stock cooler with fire, pretty much perfect rig man, nice one! I like the subtlety of the lighting
Lol thanks :p I think i might grab a cheap replacement cooler like the CM Hyper 212 EVO as i don't have enough money atm for another rad and waterblock.

Also is that a OCZ PSu, oh dear XD

I've had no issues whatsoever with it. It's also pretty much silent.

It's interesting that you chose to water-cool the GPU before the CPU. What was the objective behind this?

Nonetheless, I like the brave choice of colour for the lighting :)

Mainly because gaming vastly depends on the power of your GPU, and a cooler card means a higher OC! ;)

I also saved quite a bit of money by buying the GPU and waterblock together.

Nonetheless, I like the brave choice of colour for the lighting :)
Thanks :)

Looks reaally nice, but the stock-cooler sticks out like heck :D
Thanks!

People really need to stop bullying that stock cooler... ;)

It's pretty much dead anyway. The fan runs at 100% for no apparent reason and sometimes failed to spin up at boot without a little nudge.

Not a bad effort, still loads of things need changing in my eyes but good effort for a beginner.

No point everyone telling you its epic when its not, youll never learn anything!

Got some Mayhems UV Green Dye today in the post :D

To-do list:
Buy Raystorm
Buy 360mm rad
Buy Fan controller
Replace "purple" (very bluey) LEDs with either pink or UV ones (suggestions appreciated ;))
Make a PSU and rad cover out of acrylic (suggestions on what colour please :))
Buy Mayhems Aurora Extinction Green
Mix Aurora and UV Green Dye to find an awesome colour! :D

i dont know if tom has anything to add, but mayhems website stated that aurora shouldnt be used in everyday systems due to shimmer clogging the pump or something

Thanks for the heads-up, but i've spoke to Mick from Mayhems and he thinks it should be fine

Basically if you have a too complex loop (a lot of wb's) then the paticles inside the fluid can accumulate. Drain ports should also be avoided at all costs.

Cheers :)

They're some cheap ones off of eBay. Don't bother getting them if you're looking for purple LEDs as they're nearly blue.

i'm not looking for purple personally (at least not at the moment) but i like the way it looks in the photos for sure. i don't see purple very often) i just put the white nzxt sleeved kit 2m length in my case yesterday. i like it because you can tuck it nearly all around the edges of the case and it lights very evenly and not too intensely, and it has a dimmer and on/off switch which i like since i like having it off a lot of the time. the only thing about it is that it is quite a cold, blueish shade of white, i would prefer a slightly more yellowish warm tone of white personally (the photo i took looks more like the way I would like it to be but its more blue in real life) otherwise the nzxt kit is a great product though.
