My wireless kb/mouse are giving me issues. Worked flawlessley for a year but since the new build they are acting strange. I have tried a few things to no avail so I thought I buy a 'real' kb/mouse.

I don't want anything too flash mind.

Jim suggested saitec somethin or other and ms intellimouse 3.0? I dono, I forget...

Anyway I need to get a replacement soon as I'm gaming away and the kb stops responding or i click to fire and the mouse is dead... I'm hooked on Bioshock, the greatest game ever made, and it's getting so bad i can't game anymore :nono:

Edit: Er, does anyone NEED 2000dpi on a mouse? Or even 1600? Some of these mice are fugly! mx518 looks alright, the G3 is on there, I found the one Jimbo meant, Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 - looks solid

Any other people care to sugest some alternatives?

Edit 2: If you can look at ST that would be sweet as free postage ftw. I think I'll go with the saitek kb. Tis just the mouse that is doing my head in. I have big hands and I like the mouse to fit in my palm... Not too keen on side buttons but might be able to adapt!

I have a razer copper head.. shouldnt be too expensive and its a lovely mouse

I just have a £10 microsoft keyboard lol... does the job even in gaming I like saitek keyboards.

ref mouse give the lazer a clean if that dont work bin time fir mice cant go wrong with a razer mouse and also razer did a mouse and keyboard with microsft that are cheap mouse about 20 keyboard about 20-30 and its all backlite

Im running a Microsoft Habu mouse and I love it. Moved from a plain old crappy mouse to this and now I wonder why I didnt buy it sooner.

For scrolling I tend to find I use the 800 or 1600 DPI, never any more than the 1600. In games I click it down to 800 though.

I love it to bits and it matches the blue LED's on my Wharfdale Diamond 8.2 monitors

I'd definitely recommend the Saitek Eclipse II keyboard, great for gaming and for just typing on forums

I've used a Logitech Mx510i mouse for a couple of years and love it! Comfy as can be and great in games plus the thumb buttons I can't live without when browsing etc!

The mx510 did look pretty sweet tbh... I'm ordering tomorrow and am pretty open to suggestions, I do think peripherals are like cases - each to their own.

Can I just say I can't wait to get rid of my current kb/m: updated drivers, chipset, batteries etc... Still missing letters, sticking etc. I have to check my posts thrice to ensure no SPs etc!

hey, nice choice, ive got Eclipse 2, got it off ebay for 20 quid, what a bargain. defo a best keyboard i have ever used. it has got 3 different backlit colours red, blue, purple (i believe thats the only difference between Eclipse end Eclipse II, amount of colours) so you can own bigdaddies in bs at night without lights on anyway, the adjustable palm rest and proper solid keys, i think if i smash it really hard it would still operate as normal.

Deathadder seems lush man, proper gaming mouse, quite big so as u said u have big hands - comfy, perfect shape and size.

Hey, studing really hard - no time, still coming round and replying to some threads when i have some time. well yeah my GTX loves ur psu, blue led goes so well with my keyboard, monitor, speaker set controller blue light, love the sleeving, its just amaizing. Plus just finished MOHA @Highest settings, looks awesome, might start playing some bs, but im too scared lol . cheers
