Hi everyone, I finally decided to share my rig with you and to make a little presentation of myself too ;)

I am 30, started building my first pc when I was 14, its been becoming a passion just like it did for my job. I'm a "Chef" (sorry don't know how to say that in english :p) I'm cooking actually. Well let's back to the subject :p

I was sticking with AMD for quite a lot of time (too much perhaps) and with the new Intel chipset coming i thought it was time to upgrade.
I gave my old gaming rig to my wife (AMD Phenom II 965 C3 @ 4Ghz, Asus Crosshair IV Formula, 8 Gb of G.Skill Sniper 12800, XFX HD5870 and a Vertex 2 60Gb) and then I started to choose my new components.

My rig is in its first month of life, built only for gaming, here are the specs :

ASUS Maximus VII Ranger
ASUS Matrix-P R9 280X
Intel Core i5 4690
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 2 x 4Gb @2400Mhz (another 8Gb kit planned when my wallet is full again >_< )
Corsair AX860
Corsair H100i with 2 SP120 Performance Edtion
Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition x2 in front of the case, one AF140 Red Led at the back
Corsair 750D
Samsung 840 Evo 500Gb x 2
Bitfenix extension cables black/red for the power ATX, EPS, PCIe and red for the fans
Samsung Syncmaster P2270
Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard and X8 mouse
Logitech Driving Force GT and a Playseat for my driving sessions

Planned upgrades :
- Memory to run 16Gb
- Another Samsung SSD but this time 1Tb
- A 1440P monitor, a new keyboard and mouse
- Try to setup my very first custom loop, will ask for some advices here guys !
- Probably a white led strip for the show :p
- A new CPU in 2015 hopefully, and a GPU for sure...

Thanks for all the hard time you may have reading this, cheers mates !

Very nice and clean :) I'm guessing you'll want to get another 280x soon? That PSU is a bit big for what you have at the moment :P

Thank you ! Yep I'd like another Matrix if I can afford one soon. If not Ill wait for a highest new one :p At the moment I can play all my games easily at 1080p, but when I get a 1440p, something tells me that it won't be enough anymore ^^

Yeah I tried 1440p with my 280x (a basic ASUS one) and it struggled to get 60fps+ where it would have easily on 1080p.

Oh good to take notice about that, I think I'll stick with my 1080p monitor for a while and save money for the next gen of GPUs before I go for a 1440p or probably a 4K which will be more affordable x)

Update : Here it is, finally almost complete, just waiting for my custom material in order to make my own sleeved cables, build started end 2013, it took me a lot of time to get all the hardware I wanted, I'm so happy T.T. I can't thank you all enough for the help and mostly TinyTomLogan, cause thanks to you, I had, have and hope I will have a wonderful database and community here that will make me want to continue to build pcs :p This is really a great place to be, thank you all.

That's why from now I will be calling my rig : OC3D Tribute

Will have a bottom cover soon, and proper vinyles for the OC3D logos if you don't mind it

Yeah, been in love with that case at first sight :p Anyway it will be better pretty soon, can't live with these cables anymore and I'm wondering if a darker glass won't be better...
