PlayStation Discussion Thread

Exactly the same reason I bought one lol. I absolutely loved GTA V, I've still not finished TLoU though.

lol.

I bought the 12GB model and installed a 500GB HDD. Another reason why I bought the PS3 is because there are a couple of games I really want to play including Uncharted 3 and God of War 3. I completed Uncharted 2 and the first 2 GoW games a while back, so I might need to replay them to refresh my memory.

It's really tempting but honestly I already have both games on the PC, not much more room for consoles on the desk and better things to spend the money on :(

Understandable, I'm hoping for a collection like this in future so I'd definitely throw down some cash for one.

On the plus side, there is pcsx2 if you wanted to play the games, it's a pretty good emulator :)

Got a PS3 Slim 500GB but can't remember my username. O.o I could give a guess but if anyone adds me it could be wrong lol.

Still looking at getting a PS4 but there isn't any games I'm to excited for that are out right now, it would just be BF4 and Ghosts but I already own them. I'm going to consider buying one maybe like next month though once stock is back in and it's not a mad rush and search for one, I want the standard £350 and pick my own games, not £600 and a ton of games I don't want!

I'm a PS+ Subscriber too, it's a great little service when you get free games monthly but I might cancel the subscription now since I hardly use the PS3, which is a real pain in the arse because I want to complete GTA V, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider etc.

Heavy Rain is another good game, you do need quite a bit of spare time though as it takes a while to get into it.

Another great game I need to complete, I'm a little bit past were you have to step through the live electric cables in that power plant place.

LOVE games like that, there was a similiar one on the PS2, Farenheit...awesome!

I've never played that, I'll have to see if I can find a copy on eBay.

If you've still got a PS2 I highly recommend it, tbh I can't remember what its about, but its the same sort of thing, plays out cinematic and you have to press the buttons quick to react and stuff, I think their is a murder so Police are after him, but was it him or not and some dark spirit chasing him. Really awesome tbh.

PS4 is on my radar but I'll probably wait till a few more games have dropped and maybe a PS4.1 or something.

Definitely not interested in XBone at this point, PS4 looks like the successor, the controller is what's really pulled me over, never been a fan of Playstation pads until the PS4. The sticks were always 'wrong' to me, but the new one has fixed that. Much more comfortable to use. The fact it's got a smaller footprint with no power brick really does it for me too.

The only good thing with the Xbox is how it integrates the use of TV in it, speak to it to change the channel, bring up sport team stats and sorts at the side...oh shit wait, US only. FAIL.

Yeah but I just cancelled my Cable subscription anyway, we use netflix exclusively now.

No tv license required.

Same mate, I decided to pack in Sky TV saving myself over £60pm. I never watched it, only WWE, not paying £60 for that, the day after the new WWE Network was announced which is basically all their content on the App or the website for $10 for six months, even if they charge us £20 its a bargain compared to £60pm!

Not long got rid of Netflix as well, I never watched it but had it for my parents but they had watched everything worth watching so it was only recommending them crap films. Need to look out for a new way of getting them movies now, preferably a legal one lol.

I created a new user account with US credentials and changed the primary and secondary DNS settings the wireless network settings then downloaded US Netflix. This was a few months ago.

EDIT: You change the DNS settings first.

the controller feels good yes but there is a lot of trouble since lauch with the rubber on the sticks flaking off. mine started doing it after a few hours. afaik sony have said nothing about repairs/ replacements.

Anybody looking to get a PS3 just for GTA V, I saw yesterday its rumored it will be released on PC in March so it might be worth waiting.
