Playing Fallout 3 New Vegas again...and FPS

It's strange.

I have GTX670 SLI.

Now, GPU usage is ok, 30-40% on each. Frames are between 80-115, so good FPS!

However...things seem REALLY unsmooth, it feels more like 30FPS...like all that frame latency people are talking about lately.

I don't remember it being like this at all...

Found a mod. "New Vegas Stutter Remover"

Works...I'm a sad panda that this is needed in 2013...for a 2010 game. :P

The latest drivers break support for some older games. I have an issue with Fallout 3 that I've not been able to fix. I just disable SLI in the Nvidia control panel and it's clear sailing.

Why you would even use SLI for FONV seems crazy given that you're just wasting power.

Fallout 3 NV was massively unoptimized for the PC, I remember reading about it back when it was first released.
If I recall correctly as well, the game was unplayable for most people for quite a while until it was patched.

Hmm I had no issues with my GTX 470. Well, not with frames. The issues I had were based on the companions getting stuck. Thankfully you could respawn them on PC but it wasn't quite that simple on the 360. Loads of people had to start the game again

If anything the 'update' broke my game and made it buggy.

Still, Obsidian won't be doing another one. They were offered a bonus incentive if the game scored more than 90% metacritic after a set amount of months.Due to the bugs and issues it only scored 89% and they nearly went bankrupt as they'd planned on the bonus.

God only knows how the South Park game will turn out. Probably broken as fook.
