Play.com Are The Best E-Tailer Ever

I normally don't have problems with play.com

The only problem I had was when I pre-ordered NWN2. Loads of people got it from other companies on thursday. It was released in shops on friday, but I didn't get it until tuesday  after pre-ordering it months in advance.

I have had a few bargains from play.com tho.

i have had a similar situation but with a pre ordered game, but i find gameplay the best for pre order stuff

i ordered a ps2 network adaptor from play, and i was sent a wireless ps2 pad

when i opened the box, i was like

so i phoned them up and they sent the correct item out the same day, so even through they made a mistake, they rectified that mistake with one phone call, and i received the correct item the next day

cannot fault them tbvh

Everyone says scan are good, but my last encounter has been crap. motherboard returned twice as it was the wrong one. There error, not mine. Now the motherboard makes a funny noise whilst on. I know this isnt there fault.

Have to agree that other than the above errors, they have top notch support.

Only time ive used any of these is when i bought some free speakers from Amazon. They said it would take about 14 days and in 2 days my sister was lugging in the box cause i didnt expect it lol. I admit, that was even faster then any of my Newegg orders and was on free shipping.

I have to agree with Dav0s on this one! ;)

Play are bloody awesome! But scan are good too..

Never liked Kustom all that much.. Too expensive.

Aye Play.com are amazing, one of first sites I go to when looking for CDs, DVDs, games etc. 5 years ago they were untouchable with their lower prices and free delivery but nowadays other sites often have better deals.

Totally agree, when I started using play.com many years ago it was incredible. Easily the cheapest around and next day delivery. Over time though they've went downhill, delivery can take ages now and they're usually not the cheapest. Haven't actually used them since my wii fiasco. Ordered it in sept, on release day I still had no idea if I was getting one or not, had to order one from amazon, plus I had pre-ordered Zelda at the same time as my wii for £32.99. Luckily I had a look at my order a few weeks later and they'd changed it to £37.99, without warning me that the price had gone up. Lost faith in them now.

I used to love Scan but recently (past year) I have ordered over 5k from Ebuyer and every single item has arrived on time and in A1 condition. Rapidly becoming my favourite etailer tbh.

Whats with the OC3D ref tag on the link? :p

Never ordered from Play, although Dabs, Amazon and Ebuyer have usally been good for me..

Unlike City Link D=

M epersonaly am not a big fan of them, as far is the big e-tailers go I'd say ebuyer is best.

However I always like the smaller e-tailers like specialtech, overclockers uk & of course WCUK etc etc fast friendly and effecient less computerized $HIT there runned and operated primarily by humans not AI!!!!

Cheers! I recently quit using the dutch giant etailer Azerty Hardware for exactly the same reasons. I have spent a total of around EUR3000 there (friend's rigs, etc.) and they were almost always too late delivering, answering their emails etc. Also I got boxes with broken seals and used boxed coolers... Argh.

Started using the slighly more expensive and smaller etailer komplett.nl (still huge) now, and they sent everything within the day of ordering.

Also I have ordered at the shop HighFlow, which gave instant answers to my email (on sunday afternoon O.o), was very friendly and had some very correct packaging. Piccies of that in my buildlog, the packaging looked like it was made to survive WWIII :p

Overclockers never had a fault with them, no bad rma experiance, packaging great but their prices are way to steep, everything is overpriced compared to it's competitors.

Scan are okay, no problems with them so far although see quite a few complaints on the Hexus website.

Ebuyer never had a fault with them, although their hardware is always limited they don't have a full range of products in the enthusiast market, theirs always a brand/product I want they never have in stock - dissapointing & they never listen on their forums to product suggestions - their loss.

Ordered a few games from play.com has anyone had to deal with rma's from them?

Novatech won a few awards last year for best retailor, never really used them yet, may do in the near future depending on pricing.

Tekheads, very small company but excellent service - pity they don't offer a free shipping service.

i used to use the UK version of komplett until it closed down.

I now use either aria.co.uk or ebuyer.com. Although im a bit pee'd of with ebuyer. I bought something couple of days ago and paid extra for next day delivery, It took 2 days to get to me. Just was a little annoyed that i didnt get what i paid for. Infact it's happened a couple of times with them.

playtrade sucks.. some scammer got me for £50. I need to shout at play to get my money back here
